My approach to cc categories and forums
Disclaimer; The following is only my opinion. It is not advice to anyone. It is how I approach each of the Girl categories based on my own experience in paid videochat both open and 1 2 1. I am only doing it because I feel like doing it. If cc allows the post fine and if not that's fine too.
Here in the General Forum everyone is welcome to post and I like that but would not allow non members as they do now. The Viewer Forum is ok but i s99% bullshit. But can be amusing. Since I am not a host I have no clue what the Chathost Forum is all about and I don't really give a shit. The Tech Forum has a lot of misleading information done mainly by a few that think they know what they are talking about but really do not have a clue.
The Glamour and Little Shy categories are almost the same as many hosts have rooms in both as well as many non adult hosts. I go there expecting to chat. Low expectations prevent large disappointments. I know I can talk one on one to a very pretty girl there and anything else is a bonus.
In Not So shy, I do as cc suggests members do and ask in free about what is offered in paid videochat. I have made the mistake of simply going into paid videochat without any talk in free chat. So it pays to be careful.
And even in Instant Action I proceed with caution asking host in free what she will or will not do in pvt after reading her profile. And yes I do read all profiles , of course when there is one to read. Being cautious takes time but I have saved myself money and disappointment over time.

For whatever reason, hosts put two sesssions in the same category at once and are online with both. Besides not being allowed to have two sessions in one category and be online at the same time like this (the two online sessions need to be in different categories), it is stupid since one will inevitably be rated higher than the other so the member will see the higher rated one first. The other should naturally be in another category to help increase traffic.
I often not only see one host have two online sessions in the same category, but often these sessions appear right next to each other. Today is even more special, however. Not only does this one host have both her sessions next to each other, but she has video at $2.50 in one of them and is online with the other at $2.00. (Oh, wait, another violation, lol.. can't have video in one and be online in the other.) So basically this member is paying more for the exact same thing, and since it is hard core, she has to strip anyway so why pay more?

They have rules for a reason. One such reason is not to give hosts an unfair competitive advantage over other hosts. If a host is not so shy, for example, and has just one session, a host with two sessions in not so shy has an advantage over the first host. Another reason for the rule is to make things less confusing for members by not clutterring a given category up with redundant sessions. A third probably is unnecessary wasting of bandwidth.
Would you prefer that every host did the same thing? I get your point, but in this case, it does matter. Since in this case the host has not done this type of thing repeatedly to my knowledge, I didn't say anything to CC. But if the circumstances were different, especially at contest time, I absolutely would. (I would have said something to her but she was in video. just playing devils advocate but if a host has 2 sessions is it really an advantage.2 sessions means twice the freeloaders,1/2 the time to respond,less time to be herself...ooops my bad,i just realised you were talking notsoshy,not a lot of chit chat there i guess :--)

You know what? Life's too short. If a host's activity is not impinging on me, or affecting me negatively, then what she does is her business. Of course, if it is illegal behavior, like an underage host, I would not hestitate for a moment to report it. But as for CC's other rules, if CC doesn't care enough to monitor it, then no need for me to complain about it.

2 rooms in the same category is a way too stupid, agree. But I disagree about video in one room, because that happen with me sometimes, i just forgot to close the second room while i got a pvt in other one....so is it such a big crime?

It sure is when a guy is paying to have you in 121 and private in one room and you have several in open in another room watching.....

If one or both of the members is 121, I wouldn't call it a "crime", but you should be more careful. And in my view, doing it once or twice is an accident. When you do things like that repeatedly, it indicates you simply don't care about the rules or the other members. You shouldn't go to jail, lol, but you should definitely be disciplined severely enough so you don't conveniently forget in the future.

I just talked to the host. She said she didn't even know both were in the same category and appreciated that I had told her. That is why I don't report things to CC right away. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt here.
Friends
The word friends get tossed around here quite frivolously. I do it myself. We all do. Its used extensively by hosts when referring to their paying customers/clients. Many hosts tell me about their "friends" that come in their pvt just to chat a bit. Then I guess the rest of us are just paying perverts who like to see them naked? OK you get this mainly from Glamour/Little shy host but I have heard it from 3 in not so shy. Is it that member/friends only come to this site to find girls they can pay to be their friends?

Hey think about this if host can get you to pay her to sit and chat of course she's calling you a friend if you pay me enough I'll call you a friend too if that helps you. If some other member ever paid to chat or not is just part of her story. You are being sold a product to prove my point head down to local store ask clerk if you can pay her to be your friend $120 an hour and see if she agrees. I'll be your friend for less hows $75 bucks an hour sound? Don't ever forget its host vs member here you will never get a real friend if you pay for it.

I'm good friends with a host here. Ofcourse we started in pvts, getting to know each other, but now she says I don't have to go pvt, and we still talk all the time. If i ever do go pvt it's just a nice surprise, usually at least around her bday.

cc has the reputation of having the lowest prices on the net. But that rep was earned long ago. And price is just not the only thing that matters. I was in the car business years ago. And at the end was in the wholesale end. I bought and sold used cars wholesale. I bought from new car dealers and sold to other new car dealers that sold that brand of car new and also took some to auction. We had an expression when it came to buying a car, you can't pay too much for a real nice car and you can't pay too little for a piece of shit.

I think the pressure on prices at CC has been macro-economic. The fluctuation of the dollar and euro has caused the studios to raise prices to keep even. Then you throw in the economic downturn and you get less business and your choice is to lower prices and get more business...or raise prices and make do with less business. The problem is a member's penis does not distinquish between a high or low price....it just want attention.

For the most part i agree with your sentiments. But I would say that "success" doesn't necessarily mean the hosts "taking off their clothes". For some members, a nice, enjoyable chat with with someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation and is interesting to talk with, might be considered just as much success. In fact, I can think of a number of hosts who "perform" nicely, but who are boring as hell in terms of ability to converse and have the personality of a dead fish, and I can think of a number of hosts who perform boringly.

well, it might be one of the "cheapest" sites, but it sure pays a higher percentage than most of all the other sites out there. and that eavens out the income. afterall, its how much we make that matters, not how much a guy pays per minute. so if here i work for 1.99, and on other sites i worked for 3.99 only to get the same revenue, then i guess i preffer to perform "cheap". and i would recomend this site to any potential customer, rather than all the other sites out there who not only pay a low percentage, but also have zero respect for the models who help them earn big bucks. what i mean is that cc is a great and affordable site, and if any of you guys run into models that don't meet your expectations, keep looking and you will find the right ones, eventualy!

I know one host that is not in any type of serious relationship that simply said she's tired. She says this after every contest and often takes time off. And yes, I am certain she is not married and does not have a serious bf. She dates, like a normal person, but she's definitely available so a member could win her heart. And I don't spend money on her most of the time on CC. Not one $1 this past contest, for example. We've been friends a long time so I am confident that she is being honest.
On the other hand, I know a lot of hosts that do have bfs, are married, et cetera, and are lying through their teeth, lol. So there is some truth to what you say... Just don't assume that anyone not working is attached.

Your post may apply to some hosts. But many were on line for long hours during the contest and may simply feel like taking a night off either to relax or go out and have some fun. The fact they are not working does not mean they ae in a relationaship. Equally some hosts may be in a relationship but still worked on February 14th.

so after watching this contest, some ideas/questions.
would people, viewers and chathosts alike, prefer fewer prizes with larger amounts of money? or more prizes with smaller amounts of money. in other words, in this contest there were 40 prizes of $1000. so $40,000 total. would anybody have prerred 200 prizes of $200 instead? maybe less effort to get, but less money to win. less stressful?
do people like a contest such as this one where everybody has to stress out until the very last day to see the winner? or would you rather have a clean start each day of the contest while it is going on?

I don't know about $200 since that is so low, but 10 prizes of $1000 to the host and member and 20 prizes of $500 to the host and member might be better. It would keep more people interested (which means more money to hosts and CC) and costs CC the same.

Tip for the guys: have fun, but don't be fooled. Spend time with the GOOD hosts at CC who treat this like a professional job. Let them give you a great show and then leave. But avoid the BAD hosts who will try and use Valentines Day to talk about romance and feelings. They just want to trick you into private sessions, to run the clock and your credit card. And be sure to ignore any host who asks for money or other things. Don't fall for the old trick that you need to prove you care. BULLSHIT. If any host says that, ask her what is she going to do for you today? To prove that she cares too? It's easy to fall for a sexy host, but wake up to reality. This is an online fantasy world and feelings are ONLY real when two people are BOTH working at it. It should never be a one way thing. So have fun, but don't get suckered today.

I think that is a good warning especially since there seems to be many hosts from select countries that seem to think it is a game to manipulate mens minds on here.

Good advice, but why just apply it just today?
I definitely hate being told I need to visit a host to prove I support her and care about her. Even just to rate a host a few times a week can start to add up. You never just stay one minute and leave so it can get costly, especially if you are doing it for a few "friends".
And I've also asked what is she going to do in return. Free show perhaps? Free yahoo cam? Some hosts actually do this after contests so they do return the favor.
And despite the women that got offended, the original poster did acknowledge that there are good hosts and said to focus on them. He simply said not to let one's feelings interfere with his judgment. He said it rather strongly, but I've dealt with what he has so I understand 100% why he posted the way he did. And he probably just spent 5 days with hosts telling him they care about him and need him to play in the contest and that he should support them. I am guessing he couldn't take it any more, lol.
