Rarely. If the profile pictures are accurate and abundant it is usually not a problem. Hosts that hide their faces or pose is such a way to hide their bodies generally have something to hide. Also hosts who look great in pictures but look like a mess in video are disappointing. The issue usually is with attitude. Hosts who look like you are bothering them or not excited about the video. Sure it is the middle of the night and hard to get enthusiastic about the video but...they picked this line of work.

Don't despair, half of the Russian hockey players work and play in the NHL in Canada or USA. They did better back in the days (Soviet era) when they played together as a team year round. Now THAT was a team. These Olympic teams come together for just 3 weeks and they really aren't as good as the teams of old, even with a few superstars. Same could be said of USA and Canada teams.

I'm not going to rub it in because I have some nice Russian friends here, BUT...Canada played a sweet a$$ game last night. That was the first time Canada beat the Russians in Olympic hockey since the 1960's. Looking forward to redeeming ourselves against the Americans soon :D

Last time USA beat Canada was also 1960, and the USA won the gold medal that year. Be careful what you wish for. :p

mens olympic hockey has gone down hill. All these NHL players just try not to get hurt because of their real job in the NHL. Watch women's olympic hockey!!! it is great. these women play all out. Real team play, good passing. so the shots are not as hard, but it is much more exciting.

You obviously haven't watched many mens' hockey games this Olympics. The play is extremely physical, at least when the USA and Canada are playing, and a number of top players on other teams such as Ovechkin have not backed away from their normal physical play.

In fact, I think it is more physical in terms of what is allowed as compared to the NHL I think I have seen about 20 boarding penalties and only one or two called at most. It is ridiculous how many dangerous hits from behind are being allowed. This is why fighing actually is a good thing in hockey. Anyone who cheap shots someone knows there will be a big price to pay in the NHL, but in international play (or at least in the Olympics), there is little to worry about.

Russia didn't show up for the game, and they ran into a buzz saw. Put another way, Russia was not ready to play. For some reason, they were not focused, and Canada was ready to go from the first second. That happens sometimes in sports.

It was just one game, but in the Olympics, that's all that matters. But also remember, the game was played in a stadium in North America. That means the rink is smaller than one in Europe. Smaller rinks give more physical teams like Canada and the USA an advantage since it is much easier to hit people. For the same reason, smaller rinks take away from skills such as skating ability and passing. That doesn't mean Russia is better at those things than Canada, but Canada would not have been able to use its physical style as much to slow down the Russian team.

Another problem was the Russian goaltender was horrible, and ultimately, hockey comes down to goaltending. That is the main reason the USA beat Canada, for example. Plus, the Russian goalie's teammates let way too many shots reach him.

Additionally, after the 4th goal at the end of the 1st period, it was clear that the Russian goalie needed to come out. But for some STUPID reason, the Russian coach let him play at the start of the second period. The result probably would have been the same, but the Russian coach's stupidity guaranteed that there was no way his team could come back and maybe win.

Don't get too upset on your team. They have great players, and usually, your goalie is better than he looked yesterday. And if you see the USA play Canada again, you will understand what I mean by the smaller rinks and the more physical style. It will be a war especially since there is no fighting (which means players go after each other in other ways) and for whatever reason, international play seems to allow a lot more physical play without calling penalties than the NHL. I would have to pick Canada to be honest, but I wouldn't rule out the USA. They will give Canada a much more difficult test even though Canada has better players simply because it will be so physical and the ice surface is smaller. Plus, like I said, the smaller ice cancels out some of Canada's advantage in terms of players with skill.

Of course, the USA needs to play better or Canada may be playing somebody else, lol.

there are or were 7 teams/countries that consisted entirely of nhl players and from what i saw every team/country has atleast 1 or more nhl players on it.since more then half the players play on the smaller north american rinks your theory that its a smaller rink doesnt hold water.

also i think smaller ice improves your skills.it takes more skill to finesse your way through the other team when the ice is smaller...but thats what i think

While it is obviously true that a more skilled player has an advantage even in a smaller rink, that advantage INCREASES as the ice surface gets bigger. More room gives better skaters and better passers an advantage since they have more space to operate and makes it harder for other players to catch up to them in time to stick check or place a body check on them.

Think of it this way. Imagine a rink the size of a volleyball court, then a basketball court, then an NHL rink and then a European rink. At first, everyone is on top of each other and it is easy to bump into someone even if they are quicker since they have no place to go. As the rink gets bigger, it becomes increasingly more difficult to catch up to the other player. And when you do catch up, he has more space to get around you as the surface gets bigger.

A few years ago, the NHL changed the placement of the nets, the placement of the blue lines, elminated the red line in terms of the 2 line pass, and got a lot more strict with respect to interference penalties to open up the ice more. They needed to do all of these things because of the size of the ice surface and the style of NHL play. Everything was too congested. Nevertheless, despite all of these things, the European ice surface is physically bigger and gives skaters even more room and space to operate. The result is that the European players tend to be less physical and more skilled than Canadians and Americans. This is less true than it once was, but it is still true in general.

None of this means a European player or team cannot operate in an NHL rink. It isn't like there is a huge size difference. But the European style is different and is less suited for the smaller rink.

The fact that NHL players are on European Olympic teams doesn't mean anything. The point is NOT that European players cannot play in a smaller rink... The point is that Euorpean players, as a group, tend to be more finese players, and finese players are better off when they have more room to operate.

By the way, I believe 100% of Team Canada and Team USA are NHL players, as opposed to those on other teams, and these are the two teams that will be playing for the gold medal. It will be an NHL style game in an NHL rink with a few rule changes.

All these players on the top teams are more than familiar with the NHL style rink and play, so your rink size argument has no merit in this Olympic tourney just like hockey fan said.

It isn't about familiarity. It is about the fact that the skills that the European players have cannot be used to the same extent in the smaller rink.

What surprises me most is that play is allowed on the 'american-favoured' small rinks. Granted, they may not have anything else there, but as far as I can see olympic games are the most international thing of all, and I would have thought international standards would have applied there.
So as a result, you have those who only use these rinks in the final.
Fair? Possibly not.

The thing about this site is nothing really changes. At least nothing that makes it seem like a different place. I think that is intentional. If you look at the number of sites that the same company has running, with much more "modern" looking presentation, it becomes clear that they are likely using the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" method for the camcontacts site. I don't think this is really an issue as CC uses affiliate sites with much more modern interpretations. You just have to look at the layout for russianwomancam.com or striphilo.com to see a different presentation of CC.

I think for the most part the reason that CC see's a certain loyalty is their willingness to listen to members opinions, be that chathosts or paying customers. I know if you take away such customer care then CC will be just like any other cam site out there, and fundamentally lose it's appeal.

Canada struggled versus Switzerland. Russia not looking great. USA doesn't know how to play defense. I'd pick Canada out of those three right now since they have the best goalies which is usually what hockey comes down to. Haven't seen enough of the other countries to judge them yet.

These teams don't have enough time for the players to get used to each other to play the truly great hockey that they are capable of. It is more flashes of brilliance than anything else. But is fun to watch.

Based on what we've seen so far, I think ur right, Canada is looking better than what was predicted....goal tending and that line with Crosby, Iggy, and Nash....is going to make for some awesome hockey.
Russia will come back, there is no way Ovechkin is going to leave before going against Crosby.

Well it depends on your qualifications like any job in most of the world. Untrained, unexperienced, hospitality, usually means hotel, restaurant, shop, and cheap labor. It would be more for the experience and adventure. Most agencies are reputable. Wages are not great now since the Crisis. And if you are afraid of problems, then get a second passport and keep it with your family. So they can help if yours is stolen. If you go about town, try to look like a tourist instead of a contract worker, and you will usually be treated kinder. My friend was a pilot for the old Northwest Airlines, and transfered to pilot in dubai and loved it. Great pay and great apartment. But also remember all those contract workers that abandoned dubai in the crisis, and the poor construction workers that could not pay their way home when work stopped.
