My preference also... to create a rapport as well as a sense of what to expect for both viewer and host. But some hosts are very quick to invite you to video, without giving you much chance to say what you want to do. In those cases I generally won't do it... it leads to a hurried encounter in my (small :-) experience, and I just don't find it satisfying.

Homework is good. But I prefer live research. Watch the host face as she answers. See her manerisms. I am rarely disappointed because I Dont decide what I want until I meet the host. No 2 people are alike, so why not take the time to see what each person is like. I mean if you only want one thing do homework. However if you want an experience do live research. ;)

Good point... sometimes you might want to see what a host looks like in person, how she moves, how she interacts, what her cam set up looks like on your PC, etc. But rating a host badly when all you're doing is checking them out visually seems unfair to me.

All I can say is that if members take the time...to read profiles...and check the catagory that they are entering into..for those that are lookin for somoene that will insert a toy right away .... and if those that are looking for a particular thing...also take the time to ask in text....and if us as hosts have profiles that are not misleading....then all can have a less stressful and more enjoyable time....

Two guys in love with the same host can make for a GREAT story. I was once close with a Host and there was one customer of hers that literally started to follow me. He would show up every day at her chat room and just hang out...stay in the back and not talk, so as not to be seen...all to see if or when I might show up. Finally one day, in the middle of an open chat room, he started to call me out. He said "Why are you here so often? Is there something going on I should know about?"

Well, the Host was caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, she knew this guy was a loyal customer and worth money to her -- on the other hand, by this point in time we had become good friends, chatting and talking and emailing even away from work. So on the one hand she knew this guy had a bad crush on her and was worth coin to her...on the other hand she was trying to talk to someone that was actually a new friend. So, she asked me to take her private so we could talk alone -- at which point the guy actually jumped into our private and continued the fight there!!!

However posts relating to relationships developing between hosts & members can be very helpful for the hosts & members who are involved in an ongoing relationship**. The fact that so many posts relate to this issue suggests that is is a matter of some importance to many members & hosts.

I think it is a matter of evaluating the posts & then deciding what is relevant to us as individuals.
Personally I Have found some of the Posts to be a great help to me when dealing with a situation of which I have no previous experience.

That was very well put. I am a member who used to be addicted to videos. And yes, I ended falling in love with a host here, and we've started a life together. Best option for us was for both of us to quit cc. When I was a member addict, I had a lot of questions, too...but things sorted themselves out. I'm happy that I didn't listen to a lot of the angry, bitter people here who let themselves get screwed and have to ruin it for everyone else. For those of you who can't stand reading about love existing between members and hosts, just skip the posts and get a life. That goes for hosts as well as members. Just because you are unhappy and disillusioned doesn't mean that you have to make everyone else suffer.

It might just mean that she thinks you're an okay guy, a good client, so she throws you a bone and spends a bit of time with you when she's not working. But here's another reality check -- even when she chats with you and says that she isn't working, she really is. Whenever a Host talks to a guest away from work (whether its through chat or emails or whatever) it simply means that she's doing her best to keep him interested, so the guy will keep coming back to spend more money. So by spending a little time with you in a chat, she really is making sure that her income stays safe and that a key client doesn't stray far.

On the other hand, maybe she does like you too. Maybe she does spend time with you because she's interested too. But given the nature of a Host's job, I will warn you that the odds are not good here. If you read this message board, you will find hundreds of posts from guys who THOUGHT that a host liked them, only to discover later on it was just a game to them. Like I said, a way to keep you hooked as a paying customer. So, it's okay to feel something for someone. I'm not trying to talk you out of anything. But what I am saying (and many guys will agree) is that you shouldn't 't be a sap either. So keep your head about you. DON'T let her get away with things just because you online or because she works as a Host. If she won't do things or say things or act like a normal love interest would -- if she's always finding excuses for things or saying she can't do certain things like a normal GF would because of her job -- then that's a definite warning bell that she's just trying to buy time, keep you hooked and paying, all while not getting pinned down on anything.

Hello, Reality...I registered to a dating site long time ago, hoping to make friends..I live in a very polite environment, mostly like in UK.Outside people are very very nice and polite and...surprise!! You are my favorite girl of the day and your story is heart warming. And I mean that honestly. You won me over the moment you said "I feel weird he pays to see me", so now I know you really DO love him for his personality and heart. When a guy becomes hooked on a Host and starts to fall for her romantically, too often a bad Host will ask for money directly from the guy -- giving him some story about how hard her life is or whatever, when she really has an okay life and possibly even a real BF hidden on the side. Or even worse, a Host might play the guilt game and tell a guy "If you REALLY loved me and cared about me then you'd keep paying to see me. The money wouldn't bother you."

And I wouldn't mind paying. If I was involved with a Host, I'd be willing to send money or be willing to pay to see her. I'd do all of that to prove my love or that my intentions were good. But I'd also expect HER to do the same thing. I'd expect HER to not charge me every single time I simply wanted to see her or spend time with her. When it clearly becomes only about the money that's when you know you're being played for a fool.

Not meant to signify that I am a caring person. The post below was saying why should we care what any other viewer does here. The name label is intended to suggest that I for one do care that other viewers affect my experience here.

It's your own interpretation. There might be different reasons. For example, the host may get just tired or want to sleep, or she might had some very important thing to do. When I was a host I asked my viewers to leave sometimes just because I had some appointment. So as they left me I closed session and went to do my own stuff.
If some host works in studio she might have scheduled time.If she works from home, where she lives with her bf or parents, she might come to cc secretly. Though, she may not tell you that. So if she might have someone at her door, so she log off, consequently the viewer who was on her video stops viewing her. Although, it might be a host who stopped the video, not the viewer. There might be some other reasons, so I don't see any reason to worry about the bad viewers spoilting moods to your favs.

There are certainly many reasons for a host to log out of their session. However, I am referring to my favorites with whom I typically communicate by IM. So their reasons are pretty clear at that point.
