Lets look at the question a different way. How much does a member want to spend overall for a video? In my case my upper limit is $15.00 or so. So price only determines the number of minutes I get in my video. At .50 cents a minute I am good for 30 minutes...good deal. At 2.00 a minute I am in video for less than 8 minutes. As a result I tend to seek out hosts who are 1.00 a minute or slightly less. There are many who fit that profile so I'm good. I rarely visit a super expensive host because I prefer longer videos. The question sometimes comes up...quality or quantity. I do a lot of videos so unless I want to sell my house I need to find lower priced hosts. Besides sometimes the higher priced spreads are not as good as some of the lower priced gems.

price is not a consideration for me but i can see how many would avoid seeing a host for the first time who has a high price. it be better if she had some free teaser vid to see her before entry. since this idea is dead here, life will go on at status quo.

Price for one vid is not my criterion, I'd rather fix price for a period of time, and if a host deserves the full "credit" because she is great, let it be!
This being said, reasonable prices remove time stress, that's true, and by then for me it means less than 1.50$ or so (and I'm not a frequent flyer in hardcore categories!)

At least on my case, no matter how good looking a host is, 10 (god forbid 5) minute shows just DO NOT do it for me. It doesn't matter the category or the host.
It's not unusual for me to go to vid for an hour or more.

Conditions being similar, if i have girl a) at $1 and girl b) at $1.5, i will go for for a) - because i will be able to spend 50% more time with this girl.

Some girls just forget (or just have never heard of it) about basic game theory - The lower your price, more people CAN pay to see you (wether they want to or not). The higher your price, less people CAN pay to see you (wheter they want to or not).

A lot of the girls put higher prices expecting to avoid the "insta-wankers". In my book, high-priced girls are usually the ones from whom you expect them to deliver the goods as soon as possible - because their high price makes it somewhat prohibitive to spend more time with them (wheter you WANT it or NOT).
And, the girls with the low prices are the ones from which you can expect them to go slow and it doesn't matter that much, because the price per minute is not going to murder you.

The price of the WHOLE video session matters more than the rate per minute. If it takes you a minute, you're a winner (lol, not really). This whole thing makes Glamour and Little Shy categories a big NO for me. The sessions as a whole end up being two or three times more expensive than the ones i can have in Not so Shy. It seems that the "milder" categories are the most expensive ones in the long run, as opposed as to what i used to think.

For me it's all about quality not quantity. If I find a host amazingly attractive I don't mind spending a few more dollars to see her. If I don't find her as attractive and her price is high I will opt to wait for someone I find more attractive. Of course I set limitations on how much I'll pay a girl just to talk. I talk to pretty women all the time for nothing so to have the added benefit of talking to someone I'll never actually meet puts a price limit for what it's worth to me.

Maybe create an ID for video playback only and refer to your live persona in the video playback profile. I always thought that if video playback was cheaper...say 50 cents a minute...it would be a good way for a member to see a host for a minute or two...determine if she was for him...and add her to his fav list for the next time she is online. Instead they tend to be very overpriced and scammy as the action often drags on. Maybe a new category....host samples would be better....

maybe guests leave the vid because they don't see on screen the action they hope to see, or they think it will take too long for you to show them what they have as fantasy... Yes, that is along the lines of what I was thinking. Personally, I would go to a playback session because I wanted a cheap, quick fix. There may be a number of reasons. Connection or computer problems. My computer often seems to lock up when i try to send cam. Some hosts have few archive pics which maybe do not show her face and when i get to vid i decide she is not what I am in the mood to see. It does not mean she is ugly. This is a fantasy site and members fantasies may vary with time.

Lots of reasons I suspect. A last minute change of mind. Shyness. Perhaps another host the member was watching ended a video or logged on. Sometimes I enter a chat and then check out the profile pics or price and say....whoops...not for me. For members selecting the right host can be a long and tedious process. The girl has to be online, Priced right. Look right. Respond to video, etc. That is another reason...if you dont respond immediately many members feel you are away from the computer or asleep or chatting with someone else. Lots of reasons. Don't take it personally. Do you really miss chatting with this people who come and go without so much as a word...or do you miss the opportunity to coax them into a video and make money? Sex and money. The tango continues.

I have done this for a few reasons:

1. The host is already in video chat on another site or in another session on CC.

2, Her pics in her archives, even if really her, do not truly reflect how she looks.

3. The host immediately gives me the impression that I would be better off elsewhere be it by her looks, her attitude, or something else, although I usually will say "oops, gotta go, bye" or something like that.

4. Connection problems

5. My phone rings or someone knocks at door. (Hard to run with pants down, lol.)

6, Wife/GF comes home unexpectedly (well, not in my case, but I am sure this happens to members, lol).

Communicate with her for 6 months totally outside of CC. Yahoo, emails, phone calls, etc. If you are still interested visit her after that interlude.

good shake-down advice.

This is a repeat topic, but the bottom line is when I went to eastern
Europe ( and I am planning to go again), I tried to do the following:

1. Make sure that I knew other people in the city or cities I would be visiting in case things do not work out with the host in question.

2. Use common sense and limit visits to areas where other people are. In other words, don't go into back alleys or get into taxis unless I knew where I was going and that everything will be okay. No guarantees of course, but I tried to do the best I could.

3. Have an email account and a printout where I had a list of credit card numbers (encoded, not actual number, so maybe increase fourth number by 2 numbers or something so from a 5 to a 7, and things like that with several numbers... and did not put expiration date or CVV2 in email or on printout) along with the bank's phone number (and don't forget to let bank know you will be traveling, when and where). Did the same with travelers checks although take plenty of cash. Prepaid debit cards and regular ATM cards also are good ideas. I had cash, travelers checks, credit cards that could be used in ATMs, my bank ATM card, and a prepaid debit card. I also had a money belt and two wallets, one in each front pocket where I split everything up.

4. Made copies of passport, driver's license, et cetera. I have been fingerprinted for work so even if I lost everything, I could go to my embassy and get replacement id and then use it to get emergency funds from my credit card companies and replacement traverlers checks (both work at big banks in Moscow and Bucharest).

5. Get emergency medical insurance/evacuation insurance.

6. Bring condoms (also known as emergency ejaculation insurance) and KY jelly for that first night before you can go to store. (Very happy that I did this. :p)

7. I had the address of hospitals that took my emergency insurance and that were good hospitals (but be prepared to pay up front if necessary) as well as places like my embassy and American Express affiliates or other credit card companies local offices if I lost my card. Also let any companions know that I have emergency insurance.

8. Use my instincts both online and in person to make sure that I could trust the people with whom I was visiting.

I am sure some will laugh at some of the things on my list, but I wanted to make sure I had everything covered, including my c.....

In comparison with you, and i'm a woman, i just trusted my intuition n instinct, took care of money and my bag, told to several people where i am going, with whom i meet, where i'll stay etc.got a list of ambassy n hospitals, a dictionary,my own head and some courage lol.

all of that is good advice, been there. the most important thing, i think, is to have a back-up plan. i've been to bucharest, st. pete, budapest and prague a couple times each and met hosts each time. once, however, we just didn't click well so i had another host that i could "surprise" with a visit and that worked out well. i think having two potential girls to meet is a good plan in case one doesn't work out.

The problem you will get if u try to buy anyting from USA is the 'hidden' costs for the import tax. I bought stuff from Victoria Secret some while ago and the tax almost doubled the total cost i had to pay.
May I suggets you try to locate a GAP shop near to where u live.
