Sending a CC mail to a favorite or even an occasional or first time visitor is smart business. Keep the wording friendly. Hi. I was wondering how you are doing. Hope all is going well. Tell them something about your life, school, etc. DO NOT say...come see me and go to video. Just...I was thinking about. Don't even necessarily ask them to come to you online. Just ask them to respond to the CC mail letting you know how you are doing. The difference between CC and online porn is the personal contact, the virtual relationship and the fact that someone might care. Its the nice thing to do and good business.

what I like about CamContacts in general is how nice the ladies are and how you enjoy yourselves. I would love to receive an e-mail from a host I had a good time with. I expect more often than not the guy will be flatered and will want to respond to you.

I am in definite agreement with Smart. I also like to receive a cc mail from a host after my visitation to their video just showing an interest in me. I do not like to never hear from them at all and then the next time I am in community chat they are asking me to come to video and even as some hosts have done...asking me to go 121 immediately the next time I see them. I like to be shown some interest.

I agree with Smart. Simple courtesy=good business. And let's not forget this IS a business after all. It seems to me a smart host will be more successful in developing a regular clientele by being civil and courteous than by being transparently opportunistic. The opportunists may "get over"--as they say in the 'hood'--in the short run but they will never develope a regular clientele if their principal aim is to burn their guests.

Some will like. Some will not. Check first. Since viewers have alerts, there is really no need.

Good thing the alert serviceis facultative, having a list of favorites is generally enough... And getting ccMail from hosts is nice if it's personalised and not copy/paste of a standard message stating how much we are missed, in particular some part of our person that is so great ;-) etc.
I also use ccMail to say hello to hosts who are closing their session when I enter (usually because they are on 121 on another profile and forgot to close that one), which I find quite a rude way and I may drop some of my anger into a mail then. And at times I get a polite explanation or apologies, and I come back for a visit, that's for sure!

I chat as guest with hosts, if their chat convince me, I wear my member screen name and enter in video with that host..Of course she doesn't know that I am that guest. I know it is not a very helpful answer, it all depends on the guy/girl.

If they are one of your regulars then sending ccmail will help to grow the friendship.

I think you'll see from the responses so far that there is no real answer. Some like it, some don't. Anyone who has chatted with you or read your Forum contributions and had taken the trouble to know you a little can easily see that you're not a hustler. You can't please everyone and should not base your actions on the fear that you might "bother" or offend someone.There will always be someone who will find a way of being offended and if they decide never to contact you again it is their loss, not yours. I prefer to use the word "instincts" rather than "feelings" and I would say always follow your instincts. I find you a very intelligent woman and, though maybe your instincts may oiccasionally be wrong, my guess is that in nearly every case, your instinct will not let you down so just be youself.

Well I suppose it all depends on what you put in your ccMail. It is flattering if it is personal but an annoyance when it is not. That being said it does not seem the culture of hosts to use ccMail as an introductory or even a frequent means of communicaton.

For myself I am always happy to receive mail, though I would caution on receiving a reply right away.. I am around less and less these days.

I want to see Russia win. I think a Germany Russia final would have so much emotion and pride associated with it. It would be a classic game for the ages. Italy should have beaten Spain. The USA men's soccer team has not been as good in the past, because a lot of the top athletes participate in American football and baseball. I understand Jells. And such a situation is one instance of tragedy. It is painful and oh so human. There's a wonderful Italian film, "A Brief Vacation," (Director:? Vittorio de Sica?) that tells a story of two people who love each other, but whose life circumstances make it impossible for them to be together. Women obviously have more to offer than just their bodies. But most guys, at least at first, come here to see a woman's body, not for nice conversation. And once things cross the line from sex to nice conversation and money is still involved, then the member is basically paying to talk to a friend. Therefore, I stand by my comment that her being able to charge such a high price just for conversation demonstrates how lonely members are.

But hey, if she can get $2.00/min for just chatting, why not? Maybe she offers good advice and is a good listener. I really don't know. In any event, once I view a host as a friend, I don't typically pay to see her very much and chat with her on yahoo. If she is willing to do this, then I know I have a friend. If not, then I know that I am just a customer and not to let feelings get involved. I do, however, help friends when they need to reach their quota to get paid and other things, but that is being a friend, not a customer. And of course, some friendships are just casual and others closer. It depends upon the host and the member.

The more shown the higher the pay.....in general.

What I liked about it was that it wasn't just a remake but a complete retelling. I would've liked it more if Vincent Price was given a cameo in the remake, or maybe David Heddison, the actor who played "The Fly" in the classic version.

Please give me a list of those hosts that have such a childish attitude about who should say hello first when entering their rooms. I would like to know which ones to avoid.

I sometimes say hello first in rooms, and sometimes I do not. It depends whether me or the host types faster.

But, by the way, when I answer the door at my house, I usually say hello first. When I enter a restaurant, the hostess says hello first. When I go to the store to spend money, the salespeople say hello first. Et cetera.

So if there is going to be a rule, when person A goes to person B's home or place of business, person B should say hello first, not person A. For CC, that would mean the host says hello first, but again, I just type hello automatically. Sometimes the host is first, sometimes I am. Who the F**K cares???

In terms of yahoo, to answer your question, again WHO THE F**K CARES??? People are coming and going all the time on the yahoo list. Are you supposed to keep track of who signed in first? If I see a friend sign in, I will often greet them with a hello, but sometimes I do not see them sign in or am busy, so they greet me first. And sometimes (oh my, please forgive me for this, lol), I might not be in the mood to say hello and do nothng until they say something to me.

I think what is really behind your question, if I would guess, is that you always need to say hello first to your host "friends". If that is the case, then one of two things is going on. Either 1) your host "friends" are always too busy to pay attention to their yahoo when you sign in or 2) your host "friends" are not really your friends and while they will chat in hopes you will enter their video or simply because they have nothing better to do, they really don't give a damn about you. Take your pick, but I think you can tell that I would be more likely to go with option 2.

Real friends would not worry about who says hello first. The issue is what happens after the hello. I would note that some of my host friends, that really are my friends and that never expect me to enter video, are often too busy to say hello or are away from their computer a lot. Of course, I tend to be closer to the ones that make more time for me and able to chat with me. And in time, it is obvious that which are better friends than others.

Just do what you would do in real life. Some friendships are closer than others.

A member who just sits in a host's room is definitely being an idiot.

The host under my proposed rule (NOT that there should EVER be a rule) should say hello first, but perhaps she is busy in another video session so the member should just say hello.

There is no reason for the host not to just say hello if she is not busy in video, and there is no reason for the member not to just say hello.. I just automatically type hello, how are you? and just wait for an answer. Usually, the host and I end up doing this at exactly the same time. I never knew it was a starring game to see who blinks first.

Lady Alpha, I think you've hit on the most salient feature of this question. It seems to me the usual courtesies we extend to one another in the 'real' world ought to apply to the 'virtual' world. No doubt there will be some cultural differences, as you point ought about manners in the Anglo-Saxon world (though you did not specify your comparison. The Mediterranean world? The Slavic World?)

For my part, I think if a guest enters a host’s room it is his obligation to say hello first, but the host may elect to do so. To say a guest ought to remain silent until greeted is absurd. It would be like a stranger knocking on someone's door and saying nothing to the person opening the door. The person opening the door may indeed elect to speak first, but it seems self-evident that the party doing the knocking should state his business. Likewise with regard to telephone etiquette. The obligation is on the caller to state his business and identify himself even if the initial "hello" comes from the person answering. That is why we find it a breach of etiquette when we answer the phone and the stranger says, "Who's this?" To this I always reply, "Excuse me, but you are calling me. Who is THIS?"

I admit this whole business can become a bit too rarefied and I can understand objection, as if your suggestion for adhering to a code of manners was rather like the “country club” etiquette. But I think he misses your point.

In the end, the most important thing is not who speaks first, but that we treat each other with courtesy.

The issue is the first "hello", not who has the obligation to pick up the conversation after that.

When I answer my door at home, I say "Hi", and if it is not someone I know, I say "Hi. How can I help you?" This is just common sense and has nothing to do with what country one is from. Would it be better to just open the door and say nothing? It is no different than when one answers the phone. You always say "hello". It is AFTER the initial hello that the person entering the room, knocking on the door, or calling on the phone, has an obligation to "state his business". But the first hello should come from the person being approached, not the approacher. Of course, as I have said, when I go into a chatroom, I just say hello and don't worry about any of this since it is all stupid lol.

for a host, this is work in a way, they work (give showings/modeling) for some pretty rude bosses (member) , so in time they find better work.
as for members, this is a hobby and once one finds a hobby they enjoy , they stick with it longer.

For the girls this is a short and temporary part of their lives. They work here for a single goal. To make money for school or starting their life away from home. Their life moves on eventually. They graduate. They marry. They get tired of working overnight and dealing with old jerks. For members they are typically in the latter part of their life. They come here because they want to not because they have to. The changing variety in girls in stimulating. The one truth is they are making new 18 years old girl fresh every day. Members stay until they run out of credit, get caught by a wife, or just get mentally tired of the charade. But that can take years.

The main reason they come and go is that it provides funds for their educational needs. In that respect its usually a temporary job until they graduate.

The main reason that they work here is that they can make a lot of money, and in many countries, a lot more money here than they can in a normal job. You might be surprised to learn what some of these women make. In fact, if you did know, you might want to go marry them for their money instead of the general belief that a host wants to marry a member for his. :p

The main word was "usually". There is no disputing the benefits of staying beyond graduation. But, eventually they move on. For some, this could be a life long job true. For most not. Check the average age of hosts.

Personally, I am tired of hearing about her. Just send her an email as was suggested. And by the way, some hosts that actually care about their members, leave notes in their forums when they take a leave away from CC to let the members know. You notice that enough of them say "I'm back" in the general forum after they are away to get business so a good host would also let you know she is leaving (unless a personal emergency, of course). If she is not doing that, then this is all you need to know about what she feels about her "fans".

Considering that these hosts are from all over the world, it would probably be a little difficult to be the boss of all of them.... although I sure would like to try, lol.

Eve, this is a tough situation indeed, but as others have said you took a vow to love your husband in sickness and in health. Imagine how you would feel if you were in your husband's place... already feeling like he is not a man because he is invalid and cannot support his family and he is unable to sexually satisfy his wife who he loves... and then to have his wife take another lover and take his children away from him.... i do not think you are an evil person or trying to be cruel.... but you must admit if you were in his place, it would destroy you emotionally if he did the things to you that you are considering doing. You had 13 good years of marriage with him before this happened... is it right to turn your back on him when he needs you most... to leave him and have sex with another man... to take his children away.... simply because his penis has not worked for the past 4 years? Is sex all that a marriage is really about... or is it something more profound than that? I think you know in your heart that it is wrong and that it would be wrong to have other lovers. Deep down in your heart you know that... and you know that is not how you would want to be treated if you were in his place. Yes your relationship has changed because of his accident but that does not mean it has to be over or that you will never have happiness again together. You also did not say how severe his accident was... only hinted that he only lays in bed and is unable to get an erection... has he lost all use of his arms and legs... is he still able to speak? If he can still use his hands and his tongue than there still ways he can give you pleasure and I am sure he wants to.... but probably feels like you are not interested in him anymore or that you are ashamed of him. And have the doctors confirmed that his penis does not work because of the physical injuries he sustained from the accident? Is it possible that his erectile disfunction is caused by emotional issues... such as depression from thoughts that you are no longer attracted to him or want him sexually anymore... or from feeling like he is not a man because he cannot work and support his family? Those kind of thoughts... guilt... deep depression and emotional issues can play a major role in impotency. Perhaps it would be worth while for him to see a phsychiatrist to see if he can help your husband. With your love and support he might regain at least some erectile function. Anyway.. yes the relationship between you and your husband has changed... and that may mean it will be less sexual... but that doesn't mean it has to be less loving. The accident damaged his body... but he is still the man you married... he still has the same heart... he is still the man that loves you.
