Your first 2 questions is yes. I know of 6 members here found a serious relationship and got together, two of them got married to a host. Heck even some members have found a strong relationship here on-line, meeting here and sharing things so in away there are all kinds of relationships here at cc, not just marriage, but from glamour, non shy to instant action, dungeon and fetish categories.

Yes it can happen, it has happened. But such are few and far between. I am of the opinion it is dangerous to seek relationship from such a site as this - it is not a dating site nor intended to be such. I believe that most people who fall madly head-over-heels in love here are deluding themselves into thinking there is a real relationship developing when there is not. Some are living in a fantasy world, and are unable to separate fantasy from reality. Maybe they are lonely persons. Maybe they are not well emotionally. Maybe they "fall in love" easily and with every host who gives them the time of day.
From the hosts' side there are many hosts who use that emotional vulnerability to their advantage, and this is unfortunate because it sours the entire industry. And it is easy to forget that many, maybe most, hosts use this site claiming to be single, when in fact they are married or in relationship, but "single" is what most members seemingly want to hear. And it is easy to forget that many, if not most hosts, are here to support themselves -- their school expenses, or their families, or just life in general. This is a job for them, not a way to find men.
And you never really know when a host or member is telling the truth about their life and wants, and when they are not.
Some hosts are searching for relationship, just as some members. Some have found love here. Some have found heartache. As with any relationship, approach it cautiously. Really get to know the person. Take time to know what's real and what's not. Remember the cultural differences will be a major factor in the success or failure of any relationship.

Yes, of course it is "possible", but it is a really crazy place to go looking and more times than not, success will not be found.
I used to use these sites many years ago when they were a new thing and I was a naive 20-something. I would say there are far more hosts willing to exploit your affections than there are those geuinely wanting to know you. Some are better at it than others, so aren't so easy to see through.

true about hosts... ive heard more stories from members about the fake "love" for money, than stories with happy end.
one member was 3 times fooled, by 3 different hosts, each time with his heart broke.

That being said I am not so sure if I were a woman hunting for a serious relationship I would use this as the place to do it. A significant percentage of the guys here are looking for internet sex. Not all ofc...but many. Not that there is anything wrong with that…….:).
For pure "husband hunting" you might be better off on one of the more traditional dating sites or at church or a gym or boring traditional workplace.. Or as my father use to say to my sisters, “Go hang around the engineering school.” Just sayin"

I am happy for those that find great friendships and love, but I still maintain that if one is in the market for a "serious relationship" this would not be my first stop. And that goes for no matter how you define "serious relationship." Statistically speaking I think the odds are a bit higher somewhere else. Most of us are separated by thousands of kilometers and every one had heard stories of "misrepresentation" here. As another "old guy" I would say for me one of the secrets to a happy life that I have learned is to have realistic expectations or none at all. Setting a "high bar" of expectations may lead to disappointment. Come here with no expectations but to make some money and/or enjoy the ride and if something more comes like a "serious relationship" so be it. I am totally hooked on the show. Very fun. It has it all: Intrigue, evil against good, violence, kindness, disease, magic and yes... sex. What more can you ask from a show. Summer at home here in Canada biking, golfing, gardening, music festivals, farmers markets, going to the beach then in September a week golfing in Ireland followed by 2 weeks touring in France. it started to be expensive when a seeming majority of hosts charge less than $2/minute, closer to $1 or $1.50/minute. I say "seeming" because it is what I have observed, but I have by no means been able to observe every host. Just in my experience, it seems most hosts charge less than that.
Another point - Guys who come here aren't here to support you, they are here to have fun. If you charge higher prices, they will not be able to stay as long. Not every member has wads of money to spend. They want the best value for their $ just like we all do in every other thing we purchase. When I can get just as good a show at a lower price as I would from someone charging a higher price -- and maybe even a better show from the lower price -- whom do you think I will choose?
The higher the price, the better and more creative should be the show.
Call me cheap if you will... be offended if you will ... I don't really give a shit. I know my financial situation better than you do. I may not have used the same words but, in general, I agree 100% with what you say. Around $2 a minute open is expensive because if you want a 'full' show then you probably will have to go in 121 which is gonna be a much higher price again. If I have a video then I like to stay with the host for 20 or 30 minutes if not more and at prices of $2 or more, it adds up quickly. If a member likes a host he is going to want to visit her more than once a month, maybe more than once a week so lets say 5 times a month for 30 minutes, that's $300 without even going 121. Men being men, you are probably not the only host the member will visit so, if he likes to spread himself around a bit, he is likely to look for less expensive hosts or it gets ridiculously expensive. Hosts may only get 50% of their price but please remember that us members have to pay the full price.

Actually this topic was raised some time ago on Chathost Forum after the February content. It was dealt with the question "what's the secret of success of regular winners among hosts"? There is a number of hosts (and I am sincerely glad for them) who win big cash prizes that means obviously that there is also a number of members who spend big money not caring about host's price. You both say that 2$ per min is expensive but I am sure that there are those who don't mind to pay even more (as we see), just other hosts are not so lucky to catch them ;). P.S. And I agree with SheerExcellence that to ask a host to get nude and moreover use toys in open session for less than 1$ and 10 minutes is more than just disrespect from the viewer.

of course there are those who don't mind spending big money. No brainer there. But while there may be some, I think probably the average person doesn't have that kind of money to spend. And if all you can afford is a two minute show, that doesn't make you cheap as Sheer Elegance so non-elegantly stated. it's all they can afford at the higher price. It's a hard reality of life. I personally like to spend 30 to 60 minutes in videochat with a host. That gives me time for fun and conversation. And I disagree that it is disrespect. It is just as much disrespect, in my opinion, to expect a member to shell out their hard-earned money for something that they can get at a much lower price. The market rules.

Well.. As just a person (not a host) I totally understand you and respect your hard working to provide yourself with fun on here. But I am sure some hosts certainly deserve their right to charge more than 1$ for videosession and I think you members must feel the difference. For us it's also a hard work and incomes: hair style, good looking, manicure, pedicure, cosmetics, nice underwear, accessoires, clothes and shoes, fitness centres for shape body etc. I remember recently some members complained that the majority of hosts they visit don't even have make-up and don't care about their attraction. As for me personally I thoroughly prepare before I get online ('cos I respect my visitors) and don't sleep at nights to be available for those who want to see me. So I wonder now if I cut my price down to 1$ and less and won't be able to stay on a high level because of that will you enter my shows regularly?

Secondly, I've never bitched members who can't afford my or other hosts' price: I respect people as I mentioned in my previous post and there are lot's of things which I can't afford too. As my host experience shows the common level of paying members has been changing currently (and it has lasted for about the last year). As for my price it was 2.20$ in open the previous year, I had enough viewers and nobody complained. But now my price is 1.95$ and my traffic is rather slow. The reason of such members' behavior is still a mystery for me. As an experiment I varied my price several times and charged even 1$ during a week (for those who search by price) but there was no result. There are some cam sites where according to their rules hosts must charge from 1.98$ to 5.80$ (1.98$ is the lowest price for 2 stars host) and they have lot's of spenders even on the expensive girls. So I have no clue what's going on here recent time. Any way good luck to both sides!

This sex website "market" you are talking about is the place where what hosts offer meets what members request. everyone has something different in mind in their search, from both parties. Some wish to have fun, some want to pay less/ more, to have better shows, to win the big bucks. We can't force them to choose us if we don't meet their requirements and they can't force us to do smth we don't want. In a textual environment like a forum we lose out on two important aspects of communication, body language and voice tone. I for one did not see the “humor” in your following replies. By and large I never discuss pricing strategies and money in CC. I learned quite awhile ago that $$$ is probably the most inflammatory and divisive topic in CC. And reading through this string only reinforces my belief. Of course my grandmother told me as a child, "Do not discuss money, politics or religion." I can not say I always follow that advice, but by and large that was a sound strategy for maintaining a cordial and friendly atmosphere a century ago and is good advice now.

It's really Russia's day mostly (I think?) to commemorate the sacrifices of so many millions to achieve victory in WWII. In the USA we have other days of remembrance. I hope we never lose the memory of those sacrifices, regardless of what day we choose.

Not to sound cynical, but like most hosts who worked on these sites in their early 20s, they probably left the site and used their not inconsiderable good looks and intelligence to attract a man with prospects.
They will now live in a nice house with two kids and and will rarely think about their years spent showing their buttholes to random horny strangers for a few dollars.

Svetlana Aleksievich recently and it seemed to me that her style of telling these stories are very touching. It convinced me to buy one of her books "The War with not a woman`s face". I didn't manage to start reading it yet... but definitely she has many less known things to relate.

I don't understand the idea of waiting to be invited - seems weird to me. I'm of the mind that if you're online and there is no one else occupying your time and attention in paid video, then you're pretty much open to me jumping straight into One2One with you - no invites, no warning - just me suddenly there, hoping to catch you absentmindedly doing something weird or embarrassing so that I can mercilessly tease the fuck out of you about it.

Whether I agree with it or not, I can understand it. There is a certain etiquette about entering someone's private room without knocking and being invited to enter. In reality this etiquette exists so why is it so strange to you that it also exists in the virtual world? It could be considered rude just to barge into a private room, uninvited.

Personally, i do not like being asked to go into private. However, I will always enter freechat and from there ask the host if it is okay to come into private.

Still, when a member in freechat seems to want nothing more than to waste a host's time in freechat without entering private, I think it is appropriate for a host to invite him into pvt. If he refuses, and still hangs in freechat, I think it is appropriate for a host to say " I can't really chat right now, can you come back later? " or more bluntly "You need to come into private if you want to continue to chat." That's my opinion, anyway.

For someone fantasizing about relationship, those are not meaningless but pertinent questions, for they indicate compatibility. Not many men are comfortable with a host who towers above them. And many have ideal images of what a host should weigh and how they are built..
