They are independent contractors and can do anything they wish. What is discussed in a video is, in theory, confidential and between the host and member only (assuming they are talking in private). Plus members and hosts form friendships and contact each other outside of CC via personal email and phone.

well the problem is people try to make this site what it is not intended to be. And for probably most of them who do, it is heartache and disapppointment. Some succeed, but the vast majority are most likely living an illusion, trying to make fantasy into reality.

The exchange of e-mail addresses, yahoo id's, phone numbers IS allowed, I checked with cc. What is NOT allowed is the passing on of any contact details to a third party.

usahost, just like in real life it depends on the woman. I see many hosts both US and European and in my situation price matters. My finances don't allow a $2 a minute host. Hopefully others do. Also the time differences.

Back in the day circa 1998 - 2000, on another site I saw many postings from hosts stating their average time in video ran from 3 to 5 minutes. This was back when there was no 121 option and everyone was in open. But most times there were several viewers in video and at prices 1.99 to 5.99, most hosts did very well. They had very little down time. They kept busy most of the time there were live But there was very little competition like we have these days.. And competition is the most effective way to keep prices down in any business for we the consumers. So it is no surprise to me when I see hosts posting and telling me in free chat they like to take their time in pvt and "get to know each other", is only a ploy to increase time in paid videochat and they need to make much more from each pvt they can as the number of paying customers has declined over time.
But as a real world business owner, I can tell you that is not a successful strategy. You have have to take the small revenue jobs along with the large ones. Do the volume and the profit will take care of itself.

you have right attitude YourSlave, it was funny how many hosts want to close their eyes from this matter, but thruth is that traffic goes with the prices, ofcourse there are always some viewers who are willing to pay some extra, but biggest volume of the viewers are still comparing the prices... and CC is great site as it is, different from major camsites, but this site is build to be known from fair prices, so thats why i think when host is working on multiple sites, she should arrange her prices to bring more traffic to CC than in other sites.
To have more traffic CC cant or dont want to compete against other sites with fancy functions like free video, tipping chat, video gallery or host fanclub option... thats why only way to compete is fair prices and good spirit between hosts and viewers.

Well the other factor is many girls have no control over their pricing if they work in a studio. The studio boss sets the price and most do not have Harvard MBAs.

Yes I know many sites have non adult category on their site. And yes some viewers come to site only to chat. But just think for a minute. It really makes no sense. Its not rocket science that the biggest draw on all cam sites is the prospect of seeing pretty girls get naked for you. And after a recent upgrade the granddaddy of cam sites dropped their non adult categories. I see some NA girls from here on other sites in nude categories. And I have had pvt with some of them and all tell me there is very little if any traffic in their NA rooms here on cc. I also see NA girls here with rooms in Glamour and at least one in Fetish and another in Not So Shy. I'm sure cc has their reasons for keeping the NA category open, but I really see no businesslike sense in it.

I am only stating what I have seen. CC knows there business better than I ever could. I disagree when you say it does not cost CC anything to keep NA. I think more bandwidth costs money. There remain a handful of true non-adult hosts. They will not do anything adult period. They do not have alter egos in Glamour or Little Shy. Pure non-adult. They are good at conversation and very pleasant in general. Hence they survive on an adult site. But a true non-adult host is rare indeed.

No it means she uses the guise of being non-adult to lure customers to her adult ids. That is for a couple of reasons. First the number of hosts she is competing with in non-adult is small compared to other categories. A member can look through everyone in the category in a minute. Secondly, she knows very well that members love the idea of seducing a non-adult host into doing adult stuff. Very powerful urge and it is played by some to perfection.

Exactly, I think most hosts in any category is happy to just sit and chat if that is what the customer wants. But I have come across a more and more in not so shy that think all customers like to sit and chat and forget their main purpose for being here.

Although the adult categories are the biggest draw there is also such a thing as niche marketing. When we log on to CC we see all the categories but there are partner sites that only link to the adult categories. There are countries where to do anything adult is not allowed and some hotel chains, public internet access points, phone companies, that will not allow adult. The non-adult categories allow cc to tap into this market. The traffic may not be so big but it the extra cost to CC of running the non-adult categories is close to zero so it can make good business.

I know many of you complain about members asking you to get naked etc as soon as they come to video and you refer them to IA. No, this is not a dating site. Though who could not fall in love with some of the hosts here? And love, the promise of this, that and defintely the other, has driven many otherwise rational and sensible men half way around the world, just for the thrill. I take comfort that the 1000's of mile (or even more km) separation is the thing that is preserving my marriage! Thanks, but I didn't seek this out. It happened over time seeing the same person. Maybe I'm gullable, but I do believe she is sincere. Hosts are only human also. I agree with MonikaBabe and think it takes a despicable person to toy with another persons feelings.

Some hosts will change over time and introduce nudity to their shows...some never do. I think your memory is faulty. Little shy hosts have never been obligated to strip. More used to do shows in video than do now but that was in the days before 121. But then hosts in the non-adult categories had more freedom than now and were allowed to do shows in private password sessions. .

I think the amount of nudity "site wide" ie in all categories is as great now as it was then. I agree that there is less nudity in littleshy, at least in open session (of course almost all sessions were open then) and prices were generally lower. What you may have slso forgotten is the restrictions on hosts now. In those days a host might have 3 sessions in littleshy and a couple in not shy all open at the same time and at different prices. With this number of sessions a host had a good chance of being in video with someone a lot of the time and so could earn money steadily. The good hosts could have three guys in video at the same time and keep them all happy. Of course there were times when members didn't get the attention they wished but no one seemed to understand that this was the occasional sacrifice one had to make for the generally very low prices here. Ultimately the bitching of these members led to the introduction of 121 and the rule that a host could only have two sessions open and had to close one as soon as someone entered video on the other. We still get complaints about lack of attention cos to boost their income hosts have sessions open on other sites. IMHO 121 is a great example of not wishing for something cos you might get it. In general in those days the site had a relaxed "wild west" feel to it which I liked. I hate the constant demands for more rules which try to prescribe in detail what the hosts must and must not do in all categories and seek to turn CC into a clone of the other videochat sites.

It is entirely up to the host and should always be so and second you should work out what you expect to see before the video starts. If the host agrees to nudity and then doesnt deliver go to CC for a credit. That is the only way you will see scamming stopped.

You cant accept that fact all people are very different. Pfff and you can't see the fun here, your loss then. Many other people have great fun here, no matter what is in real life, that things you can't mix...real sex and online fun...2 different parts of my life, how can I say what is better for me....I need both. ;)

An honest answer that speaks for most of the hosts here. A lot of members dont get it...it is a job for girls. They are actresses.
