A question for Glamour/Little Shy hosts
I know a great many of you have rooms in both Glamour and Little Shy. And yes I know some are in other categories too. But Glamour and Shy are basically the same to me. That being, the host chooses if she does nude show or not or who she does one for. But I was curious if how many of you did the exact same show in both or you maybe do more in Shy than in Glamour.

Yes I agree, for want of a better way of saying this, and I mean no disrespect, you (hosts) are selling a service. If you charge too much, no-one will buy it, and if you charge too little, you may not make enough money. So there is a balance.
Members have a choice, we can choose to buy that service at that price, or not. The price that a host chooses to charge is completely up to the host, it is the hosts business, not the members...

I don't think that you are correct. She stated to him that her traffic was bad. He offered some solutions, she might not have wanted to hear what he had to say because some times the truth hurts and we don't want to accept it.
I am in sales too and if I am not selling anything I am not making any money. If business gets slow, I will re-evaluate what I am doing and where I am missing the mark to minimize the down time.
In the job that you chose, the easiest way to control traffic is your price. If nobody is coming to your video, consider lowering your price a little to get busy again and then raise it back up.

You state the 'supply and demand' argument. Hosts know this already so let's appreciate their intelligence. When you compare the standard of living of members to many hosts, you will quickly realise that a $ to us members buys a lot more in many host countries than we get paid/earn but many get only 25% of what we pay.
After 6 years in CC, I've learned not to comment on a host's pricing. The choice is mine, to pay or not to pay; no need to get abusive or critical about it. Oh, and don't forget the free company we get in commchat of beautiful women whom many of us would not be able to associate with in real life - age, attractiveness, whatever.....
I've made very good virtual and also friends in real from CC, hosts and members; I don't begrudge what I've paid.

Sure the $ might not be as inflated as there but they more than compensate for that with the amount of money they make. Its a luxury to have a car in some of these places and they are driving Mercedes and BMW.
Look at the vacation pictures of some of the hosts. Do not let them fool you into thinking that they make no money or that they can't buy the same things because of inflation...

Never said I dislike the women on here. I happen to love one woman who was on here for a time. What I dislike is when they claim that traffic is slow and will not do anything to try and fix it.

Some years ago at least, it was quite common for people to meet hosts and other members. Maybe now the site is different, lost that personal touch.

I've seen many posts over time where bragging members claim to have met hosts in real, but they have no credibility. But why in the hell would you want to meet another member in real? That makes no sense.

You might do sales but you don't understand this business...It's not all about price it is about how well you can interact and make happy most of the viewers that come to see you.
It's people skills and your product! I've said it before and I'll say it again....just like high end department stores even in a bad economy are thriving and many times more so than big discount stores. It is not about price it is about interacting with the viewer and doing it very well.
It is not different than the rest of life...some want luxury and class and some it doesn't matter.... A host should be the best she can without ego or arrogance and put the extra effort into being fun and exciting for the viewer and she will do well. Lazy hosts will struggle and are at the .50 price...also she will attract the cheap viewer who figures he is still over paying... It's a choice and worth the extra effort :))

It still comes down to perceived value. Am I getting my monies worth? If the answer is no, you paid to much. You make reference to high end department stores and actually Wal Mart is out performing Nordstrom right now and smaller cars are out selling the larger luxury cars.

If the member was trying to offer constructive critisism (which seems like many hosts don't take well) then the host should pay attention and consider what is being said. Here it is not what you want but what your audience wants. Most will not give constructive thoughts , but the will rate you low and write somewhere else about you....Is that better??

people.why to complain here???even we as hosts or members have our downs and ups in life.i have never complained to my members the traffic it's low.i respect them and what they are paying for and they respect i'm always in a good mood and always with a smile on my face no matter what.I have had only a few(maybe i'm lucky) that have complained about my price(which is very very high-i admit it) but it's much my choise as it is theirs.There will always be good and bad periods of time no matter what u do.I have time and i know what i want-so all the members that keep coming back to me.The ones i have blocked i did it because i don't like frustrated people as i know how to hide my owns;).Just my opinion don't take it personal or as an advice.Peace to all.Happy Monday!!

At 2.00 a minute she is among the more expensive of the glamour hosts and it seems she is providing less than them. For this price there is no excuse for a host not having at least a good quality webcam, these cost less than $100. I may put up with poor video qulaity when the host is charging less than $1.00 but not at $2.00 a minute. It does not matter how great she looks if I cannot see her clearly.

Does a host want to do more minutes for less money or less minutes for more money. For some hosts if they lower their price they lose money....the do about the same amount of minutes so it is a net loss. However, for other hosts if they lower their minutes members do far longer videos and they get new members to see them and some become regulars. It is a business decision. I am more likely to do 20 minutes with a .99 host than 5 minutes with a 1.99 host. Plus while some members here are wealthy and money is not a consideration many members have to be careful about their money. So we are in the same boat with hosts...worried about money. So a balance of price is the best course for both.

The price of hosts are very reasonable (with a few exceptions) when you compare it to other sites...the difference here is that you have a forum to whine and complain.... Hosts know how to run their business :)

Even a cursory reading of s.2257 (the full text of which is readily searchable online, and although in legalese is unambiguous) would indicate that your 4th point is incorrect.

Just because CC servers are located outside of the US, they still must be compliant with the code or face investigation for potential things like child pornography or human trafficking. Just look at CC's intro page and they even state that they are in compliance with 2257. Operators of all adult sites take this very seriously. No website wants to be considered suspicious as an investigation by one country would quickly lead to an investigation by Interpol.

I always give 5*, and it is usually deserved, but even if the show is disappointing in some respect, I still give 5*. All the hosts are just trying to earn money to the best of their abilities, equipment, attitude etc. and it is not my place to compromise that. Also, it helps redress the balance caused by the 1* machos, who have probably been pulling girl's pigtails since schooldays and never stopped.

if you only give 5, even when it's undeserved, you are defeating the purpose. i give a lot of 5's. i give a lot of 4's also. not every video on this site is perfect. there are plenty of reasons to leave a less than perfect rating. its a good system whereby you can anonymously let a host know she needs to improve...

yes, but look at the information she posts for the playback at least. if you came back 4 days later and it was still going, you would know it is the same playback because she has put that information in the session. so if you want to see the same playback you can watch it again of course, but she does not force you to enter the video to find out what it is about.

what if you give chathosts the capability to do the following -
if a photo is taken with their webcam and posted it will have a small 'sun' icon (or some other icon) in the bottom right hand corner for the first 24 hours it is taken. this means that while i am browsing chathosts i can see right away the ones that have a current pic for their profile.
would this be super difficult to do programming-wise? some kind of check program that runs an if-then every hour on whatever is current profile pic? if it is from the webcam AND if it is less than 24 hours old put a sun icon in bottom right hand corner?
this means hosts do not have to do anything if they are happy with their airbrushed or fake photos. but when i am browsing i can see right away who might be the best bet for looking like their profile pic instead of having to go through four or five rooms.
is this idea of any value? or just something only one member, me, likes?

there is one problem in your idea, every photos are taken from hosts "webcam", even the fake ones.. if i remember it right, hosts cant upload pictures from file to galleries, they must use some camsplitter or similar software to simulate picture coming from hosts webcam.

There is other idea that would work, but i already know many hosts would be against this... in some other sites there are picture gallery taken live images from host room, and it could be possible here too, if there would be new screen capture from host taken every time first member enters in video chat.

I think that is not a good idea, Most hosts have archive created for viewers to look, if you dont want to bother to check it out that is your loss. The fake pictures are generally so easy to identify as being such, alone or in combination with other evidence, that you could just avoid visiting the hosts to begin with. Genuine (but airbrushed etc.) photos are more problematic.

i do not rate them 1 if it i can actually tell that yes, this was the woman in the airbrushed pic. but i will leave right away if there is huge difference and i have to struggle to figure out if it is the same woman. this is actually what happens most of the time so i do not hurt the host's rating i just dont stay and pay.

If a host has fake pics, especially if she is working in a studio, she is more than likely oblivious to the fake pics. The studio administrator often makes up their profiles for them, without the host even being aware of the profile description and pics. Or, the pics might be of the actual host, but the description will be a total contradiction of her personality and what she will do.

I know many if not all hosts are not happy with the ratings system but, earlier I was browsing the 4 Girl categories and there seems to be a lot of 5 and 4.5 star ratings. In my book that is real damn good. So at least at this moment in time, it looks to me like things are good. And pretty soon we will have the May contest which if I am not mistaken brings extra viewers to most hosts and of course more money. So in my view, it things appear to be good for most hosts. And that is a good thing for all.

That is why I say anything below 4,5 stars is suspect. The ratings are so top heavy, it seems very dificult to get a poor rating or even a rating below 4,5 stars. With all due respect to the hosts, I find it difficult to believe such a large percentage are either good or excellent. Of course, it only takes about 5 to 10 regulars to think a host is 5 stars to lead to that rating so I guess that explains a lot of it. But that just proves the point of being wary of hosts with under 4,5 stars. If they can't even get 5 to 10 guys to visit them consistently, it leads me to think that the quality of their shows might not be consistent either due to poor performance, working on too many sites, et cetera.

Free chat is provided by CC as an option for viewers to interact with hosts. Unfortunately, CC has not set guidelines or restrictions on free chat. The sad thing is, some members abuse it. They think it is their personal substitute, for videochat. Some do spend hours in free chat, robbing the host of needed income, sometimes chasing away other would-be viewers, not necessarily intentionally but unintentionally as other viewers may see the conversation, and assume the host is busy and being too polite to interupt they simply leave,, thus a further loss of income for the hos.

I refer not only to the post by Andrea Cherry but by what many hosts from Russia and Romania have told me about viewers leaving as soon as they found out they were not USA girls. I like her because in my opinion she is a very good host. The fact that she is in the US doesn't matter to me.
To me attitude is everything. If a host has a bad attitude, it doesn't matter if she looks better than Miss Universe. Its just not going to go well. But whenever you deal with the public in general, in the real world or here, you are going to run into assholes. I hope Andrea gets some good business out of this whole thing. IMHO she is very good host. She is fluent in English and communicates well. I recommend her.
Where on this site does it say this is a dating site? I bet even the the hosts in the USA have no desire to meet any viewer in person. That is why they block their home state, duh! I dont care what country host is from, its not matter to me, and most of my "friend" hosts are from russia, ukraine, or romania.. but i also understand the other side of this case, if someone dont want to chat with for example russian host, and when host dont tell her country in her profile, this viewer has every right to leave after host tell she is from russia, it shouldnt be so big deal.
If host want to avoid these guys who enter only to ask for location, and then leave, host have the option to tell her location in profile, then nobody need to come and ask, simple.
And i really do understand viewers who want to chat with host from his home country, no matter if they have chance to meet in real or not... i would love to have fun with host from finland if i ever could find one, still i never going to really meet any host, im not here for dating... it would just be nice to have fun with common language.

They do that to all hosts and so why be so sensitive? Maybe it is something else and too much sensitivity and assuming the wrong reason. Why make a mystery from the beginning and clearly state that honestly from the beginning???

Why do they try to hide their countries so much? That starts the whole hello on a different note. Are they ashamed or does that brand them because of other hosts that are less than honest from those countries. Why be ashamed of your country? It is just a online meeting? Or is that their intention?

I think that many hosts use that as an excuse for not accepting other possibilites......like they didn't comb their hair or too much make-up or not looking like pics or many other reasons....including personaity that might seem rather arrogant......we all know what assuming does ;)
