I disagree about your characterization of most members as wanting what they can't have and willing to spend what it takes to get it. Maybe some guys do it, but I certainly don't, and I spend a lot here getting what I want pretty easily most of the time.

Yep, the temptation to be unfaithful to my wife has lowered in me by coming to this site and watch the hosts' shows. It's worth understanding that the situations are vastly different. Whether it's politically correct or not, the US is far better equipped to deal with this kind of natural catastrophe than Russia. Our gear is better. Our training is better. Our government takes such matters more seriously (you should read the Russian forums and the bitter complaints from people outside Moscow).

Also, our homes are more closed off, often featuring cooling and filtering systems. Smoke outside is unlikely to kills us inside. Russian flats, generally speaking, have no such systems. If it's hot, you roast with the windows open. Turn on a fan if you have it. If it's smoky, you don a mask. And if your house burns down, you're completely screwed.

So, you need to forgive the Russians that are suffering terribly due to this situation for not having much sympathy for a people that consider the weather to be mostly inconsequential, and who can easily pack up their belongings and drive away safely in SUVs. Hell, if our houses burn down, quite a few would consider it a winning lottery ticket as insurance would cover the rebuilding of a new home, and replacement of everything in it.

Don't you think that you are going a bit too far with you main point that the USA is better equipped to fight fires and deal with the consequences of them? If I were to guess, the main point of your post is probably correct, but it isn't like Americans are immune from the consequences of fire and a hot summer. It just happens to be that a lot of the fires in the USA are not near major population centers so the smoke isn't blowing into the big cities like it is in Moscow, and the fires near heavier populated areas happen to occur near more wealthy areas a lot of the time.

If a major fire occurred to the west of Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C., it would be a major problem for people in the USA. It just hasn't happened.... yet. How long could people stay inside with their air conditioning.... IF they had it.... before running out of food? And yes, IF they have air conditioning.... People die ever year in cities in the USA from the heat because at most, all they have is a fan. And by the way, if I were to guess, I bet most people in Russia can at least afford a fan. And since it rarely gets so hot in Russia, why would they have air conditioning? Plus, by the way, the people in France often leave the country in the summer because they don't have air conditioning either.

So okay, if we're keeping score, USA 1 Russia 0 in terms of dealing with fires and heat. Of course, since we have fires and heat every year and Russia does not, I wouldn't expect this to be any different. But if you want to see things like poverty, come to where I live in the USA. I can drive for about 15 minutes and show you some pretty horrible conditions. Things are far from perfect here so do me a favor: stop waiving the our flag. You're embarrassing the rest of us.

I think you might have missed my point, but that's hardly surprising.

Your point, as I saw it, was that things are much better in the USA and that nobody should feel sorry for us because we are better prepared for things like fires. I feel sorry for you now, but couple years ago when there was similar fires in russia near finnish border, woods and dumb areas was burning and wind blow all the toxic smoke to finland, russians was not worried at all, they said rain will come some day and put down the fire, no need to do anything about it.
Anyway, finns fire department offered help to put down the flames, but moscow governor said no thanks, you dont need help.

Nobody is saying that you should not be honest. They are simply trying to explain why hosts put that they are bi.
What you should to is check your facts before posting. Among the females hosts on line now 335 are bi and 264 are shown as straight. Among all hosts 33840 are bi and 32334 are straight. There is a majority of bi's but nothing like the "at least 90pct" you state.
What is also interesting is that at total of 310 hosts in girl-girl categories say they are striaght and 11 in girl-boy couples are gay.

I don't know why life is so cruel..i feel terrible for your friends but all I can say to them is that time will heal some of their pain. No matter how horribly hurt they are now, they will recover. They will never forget but they will be able to live again after awhile...

My friend at work and his wife had similar experience except their son died a month before he would be born. It was difficult time for both, but they were strong and in another year they now have a beautiful daughter. My point would simply be that sometimes people who live unhealthy lives are healthy people. It\'s not about lifestyle, it\'s about genes. So perhaps that explains something. This is just another example of what God is, and that He doesn\'t have anything to do with these things, things that pertain to nature, and not the strictly human sphere. This little girl never got a chance to be human, but there\'s nothing or nobody to be blamed. The explanation is DNA, simple as that. These things are nothing but a roll of dice... <br />

And another point; who exactly is it unfair and cruel to? The consumerist parents who were expecting things and were disappointed, or the little girl who only got to live 4 days? The girl didn\'t suffer, if she died of heart failure, which is normally painless, and she didn\'t have any life to leave either. The parents should just learn to be more humble, and at this point just get on with the next baby. :)
