In the USA, at a store called Staples, it is on sale for $69.99 through Saturday, 23 January, at least at the Staples near me. Other stores also may match the price so you don't necessarilly need to get it at that store.

It is a good cam although the zoom is not great from what people tell me. I use it myself and many hosts use it. For the price, it is a great bargain and would make a nice present too.

It was on sale for $79.99 at Best Buy last week, which I have seen before, but $69.99 is the lowest price I have ever heard of other than ordering it online with a rebate. Maybe it will be discontinued soon and that is why the price is so low, but if you need a cam, I would go for it while you can.

Here is a particular favorite. Make a sandwich, this will take a while:

A gentleman gets his paycheck on a Friday afternoon, and plans to splurge on a nice dinner for his girlfriend. But as he walks home from work, he passes a motorcycle shop and sees a model that catches his eye. A salesman sees him eyeing the cycle, and after some back-and-forth offers to sell it to him for the amount of his paycheck. When asked why they're so urgent to sell, the salesman explains the reason for the bargain price is that the bike has exposed, unprotected wires that will cause it to short out in rain; however, this can be rectified by applying Vaseline on them before a downpour, and they'll even give him a jar to take with him. The man cannot resist the bargain and buys the bike.

He goes to pick up his girlfriend and explains the circumstances. The girlfriend replies that in lieu of the fancy dinner they had planned, they can go to her parents' house, since they always serve a big meal on Fridays. However, she warns him that during the meal, no one ever speaks - the house rule is that whomever speaks first at the table must wash all the dishes. The man is taken aback by this arcane rule, but agrees to the condition.

They arrive at the parents' house, and as soon as they walk through the door, the man notices stacks of dirty plates, platters, and silverware lining the walls. It would appear no one has done the dishes in this house for weeks! After initial pleasantries with the parents, they sit down to their dinner of silence.

After a couple appetizer courses, the man, drunk from wine, decides he wants to see how strictly they adhere to this rule of silence. So he grabs his girlfriend, throws her down upon the table, quickly undoes her clothes, and has sex with her in the middle of the meal. After some thrusting, he looks to her parents for a reaction. Nothing.

Oh, the dog howls a little, but not a peep from either of them.

So as his girlfriend puts her clothes back on and returns to eating, he sheepishly goes back to the meal as well. But after a couple more courses and a lot more wine, he is more determined than ever to make them break. So he grabs her mother, and again throws her down upon the table, undoes her clothes, and has sex with her. As he is humping, he looks to the father.

A pea falls out of his mouth, that's it. No reaction whatsoever.

The man determines that it's a lost cause, and he's likely ruined any chance of being accepted by his girlfriend's parents in the future. As he glumly sits down to finish dinner, he hears a thunderclap outside. Remembering what the salesman told him about the bike's delicate electrical system, he pulls the jar of Vaseline from his jacket pocket.

And the father slams his silverware to the table and yells, "Alright, fine; I'll wash the goddamned dishes!"

Will I Live to see 80?

I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive Lab tests, he said I was doing 'fairly well' for my age.

A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, 'Do you think I'll live to be 80?'

He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?'

'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'

Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?

'I said, 'No, my former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!'

'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'

'No, I don't,' I said.
