I hope that any new faces are at least as good as the old ones. Change just for the sake of change makes no sense to me.

If AxB, for example, has great pics and her pics are better than other hosts' pics, why shouldn't she be a cover again? Why make a change to a host who doesn't look as good? That makes no sense.

This isn't about giving every host a chance. It is about running a business, and that means choosing hosts with the best pics. Now there is something to be said for variety, of course, but while variety might make some current members happy, these people are already members and cover pics aren't going to really impact how much they spend. It is for NEW members that cover pics are much more relevant so why shouldn't CC pick the best? Sports teams promote their stars, not their role players, after all, for the same reason.

Also CC needs to consider which hosts are good at getting guys to visit them a lot. It makes no sense to pick a host that isn't good at holding onto her members and getting lots of video even if she had good pics. CC should promote those hosts which will attract new members and get them to keep coming back to the site over and over again. Then, the other hosts will benefit since these new members will sooner or later start looking for some other hosts to visit as well. But it should all start with the best pics and the top hosts in terms of having a lot of members and do well in terms of a lot of video.

Assuming they are entering their pics and their pics are good, I would start with AxB, ChanelDoll, and Casablancka. These hosts take nice pics and are popular. AxB is your classic supermodel . ChanelDoll is your sexy seductress. And Casablancka is an exotic, natural beauty.... kind of like a brunette AxB but everything is real. It would be nice to add some fresh faces if they merited it, but I would start with these 3 if their pics look good.

Like I said, change for the sake of change makes no sense to me. Change should be for the better. Variety is the spice of life, but quality should come first, and these three hosts are top quality.

I don't know. I don't think it's about glamour pics. You may be enamoured by that look, but not everyone is. I see fake looking, photoshop air-brushed pics and that just by nature give me assumptions about the person sitting in front of the cam who uses that style to sell herself.
Variety sells to me. There are loads of sites with plastic looking pretend models.

The same old models in the same old pictures in the same old contests. I don't know, of course, but I'd be pretty surprised if these contests brought in much in the way of new members. It's something that appeals to people who already know the site and a little variety never hurts there.

The company I work for just had an R&D team meeting recently where the major point the VP was striving to get across is the idea that if we sit back and ride the coat-tails of our last release, we die. This is a must in any tech business. In a web-based porn industry, in particular, the "why change?" approach leads you to the back of the pack.

I would agree with you in other contexts in the business world, but not on CC. The product here is really the hosts, not the contests, so it is for the host to keep making herself interesting. The site just needs to get new guys' attention to get new members, and the best way to do that is put your best hosts (as measured by looks and ability to get video) on the cover whether or not they are "fresh faces". The new guy, after all, doesn't know if they are "fresh faces".... He just knows if he thinks they look hot. In fact, most new guys have no clue what is going on during a contest. I hear this all the time from hosts.

What happens with most current members during contest time is that they check out the cover pics and then go about their business as usual. Sure they might prefer some new faces, but I doubt they care too much, and anyway, they can see archive pics of those not chosen for the cover. After all, every contest we see members flocking to their favorites regardless of who is a cover girl. In fact, it is so bad during contests that hosts post about members just going to their favorites even though there have been a number of "fresh faces" recently.

It is really the nature of the contest (puzzles, words, et cetera) that could use a change and that might get current members to play more, but with Google and stuff, I don't know how CC can really do this. The pics for them have little impact since, like I said, most just go to their favorites at contest time.

But for NEW members, generally speaking, you want the pics that stand out and grab a guy's attention even if that means some photoshop. I am sure your boss told you that one key to business is to get the customer's attention. It doesn't matter how good your product is if the customer never looks your way. Well, hot pics will get guys to look CC's way, and yes, that can mean photoshop and yes, that can mean the same hosts much of the time. CC needs to put its best foot forward, grab a new guy's attention, and stick him in a room with a host that will make him happy. That's a key goal and experience, not a "fresh face", is what is necessary to achieve it.

Don't forget contests are really about two things: 1) nice pics to make the site look good (which includes looking good for new members) and 2) solidifying the bond between current members and their favorites which of course means members spend more. The last thing I think that a contest is about is so that members and hosts can have a truly challenging and interesting event. It is about promoting the site and bringing existing members and their favorites closer together. How do I know this? Simple, it happens every time.

I should also add that I checked out some of the "fresh faces" in recent contests, and was not very impressed with their pics or what I saw in video, not just in terms of how they looked but in terms of how interesting it was to talk to them. CC really needs to consider which hosts hold onto members and have a lot of regulars when picking the cover girls. If I had not been a long time member and judged CC by its recent "fresh faces", I might not have stuck around too long.

I would be much happier to see fresh new faces for the contest as well. It's time, I think most would agree that the same faces at every contest gets tiresome. Let's have a little spice, introduce us all to some one new. All, of the hosts collectively make this a succesfull business. No matter how much money a select few bring it, CC could never survive without the myriad and variety of its offerings. Let's reward those who are here week after week and not appear at intervals that seem to coincide with contests.

Why reward those that have been working hard and make them cover girls? That is a nice sentiment, but makes no sense in this context. There are times you reward hard workers in business, but that doesn't mean you do so in every situation.

CC needs to put its best foot forward and that means putting the top hosts (as measured by best pics and ability to have members return over and over to video) as cover girls. Contest time is a marketing campaing to CC. Even as I type this, I still see a cover girl's pic on the upper left of my screen. It makes no sense to go with anything less than the best.

If CC wants to create a feature to reward hard working hosts, that would be nice. Perhaps they could have something like "host of the day" and have her profile appear at the top of the page after a member logs in. But contest time is not the time to reward hard workers. Contest time is for CC to put the very best pictures and the most successful hosts it possibly can on its site and make itself look as good as possible, especially to new members. (I don't think cover girls affect current members much since generally they go to their favorites at contest time as we all know.)

I also am concerned that this "fresh faces" idea will make hosts that have already been cover girls start thinking it isn't worth submitting pics any more and that will mean a decline in quality. In fact, I already know hosts that are thinking this way. On the other hand, even before this "fresh faces" idea, hosts that weren't winning kept submitting pics anyway so choosing many of the same cover girls doesn't prevent the occasional fresh face if warranted.

I would love to see a variety of hosts as cover girls AS LONG AS the quality of the pics and hosts does not go down. But as I indicated before, a number of the recent "fresh faces" have not impressed me much in terms of the quality of the pics and in terms of the quality of their video sessions when I decided to give them a chance. And a lot of times when there have been additional hosts featured besides cover girls (angels, cupids, et cetera), I notice a big difference in picture quality between those chosen as cover girls and those that were not.

Your heart is in the right place, and your head too in terms of wanting to see variety, but in practice, I think it would be a mistake. Only if the "fresh face" had pics at least as good as a past cover girl would I even think about choosing her, and then if I was CC, I would need to consider how effective the fresh face was in having members enter her video before making a change away from someone that was a proven host. The point of cover pics is to promote CC, not to promote individuals, and like I said, all the other hard working hosts benefit in time as newer members start to visit other hosts since yes, variety is nice. But CC first needs to get the newer members to join and stay awhile, and the best way to do that is with the top pics and the top hosts.

How do you know that the "new faces" you saw were simply the best pics submitted for that particular contest. I know of at least two hosts who had been cover girls more than once who, for very valid personal reasons, decided not try for the most recent contests. Yes CC needs top quality pics for the cover girls but it does get boring for members (this member anyway) and I think hosts too, if we always see the same faces.

Wrong! The best way to "promote" CC is to bring out the new. The same after same after same every contest gets monotonous, is bad marketing and doesn't help to keep the members that come here daily interested. The favorites (read your favorites) will be here nevertheless. And their fans will visit them contest or not. There have been many complaints by members posted in recent past for some "new blood" here and an equal number of posts that "so and so" is only around for the contests. It's time for SOMETHING NEW!

I agree with you! Problem is that some (not all) of the cover girls of recent contests have become mostly "contest only" hosts. That's why some new faces should be presented, and of course CC should choose ones that help bring in revenue in the long haul.

I think $5 or 5 minutes, whichever came first would be a good policy. Most hosts are over $1,00, so the $5 would come first. But under your two minute idea, a member that is trying to hurt a host with a bad rating could do so for say $1,50 if she was $0.,75/min. On the other hand, 1 minute is fair if the host is expensive at $5 and perhaps stalling or something.

$5 or after 5 minutes, whichever came first, would work well and be fair to all.

Yes that is totally right, because some models have rich admirers who can afford to spend hundreds.. and they will give 5 star just to make their favorite model happy, so their rating is not objective, it shouldnt have more weight.

Hosts seems to forget that it is average rating that is shown in profile, so if they have lots of happy viewers who give them 5 stars, it cant make big drop if 3 or 4 1 second viewer give them 1 star.. if they are really nice hosts, i bet some of them admirers will happily give those stars back by taking some 1 sec videos to give 5 stars.

According to CC it is the most recent 10 members whose ratings are averaged. If a host who is generally rated 5 star is maliciously given a one star rating she immediately drops to 4.5 stars. She then has to have 10 guys in vid to get back to 5 stars. Belive me it can take a while.

If CC raised the minimum price, the business would go to other sites where the prices are lower. There are discount clubs, bonus credits and offers at many sites so it is not uncommon to pay less than $1 per minute.

If you are 'good' and have regular members, then you can raise your price as high as you like and if your regulars put up with it then you will still be busy. However, market forces are at work here and there is a limit that even your regulars wont go beyond! if you are no 'good' then better set a price that means you get some business!!!! Minimum price of $2 would destroy cc and all it stands for - A site set up by members for members!!!! U are free to set your price where u want but dont be surprised if your 'trade' gets less!!!! Totally agree. I tried other sites in the past but now never bother with them. CC Hosts are free to 'play' with prices just like a company does. This enables you to test the prevailing current market demand and what price it will bear at that moment.

If you check out the sites with higher per minute prices more carefully you will find that many of them pay hosts a lower percentage than CC and have more severe rules for hosts regarding charge backs and are not so reliable in making their payments as CC. You should also understand that the low priced hosts help keep members on CC. Most of the hosts I have been a regular with have a rate of $2.00 or more but if I have an expensive month and funds are tight I may decide to spend time with a lower priced host. Next month I am back with my regs. I am a member of two other higher priced sites but spend far less money on them than on CC.

European customer pay 1 eur per 1 credit

I wonder how feasible it is to weight the rating system based on time actually spent with a host. It would perhaps seem fairer that a better review goes with someone who spends longer in a session.

But I do also wonder how many stay in a session trying to tease out some behaviour from a host only to ultimately be denied. Does that make them happy customers or is it just demonstrating a clever manipulative host?

Well i bet u are a member. Thats why u have no idea what u are talking about. There are a lot of people in this world (real and virtual-doesnt really matter) that enjoy doing something mean to others. They have different reasons for this-jealousy, envy, anger etc...Here on cc in particular-there can be even more reasons for this. Like for instance-one jealous host asks her regular to go to another hosts vid for 1 sec and give her bad rating (there can be again lots of reasons for this-personal relationships, jealousy)-lots of hosts do it. Yes, yes, raise the prices, and "try" to earn big bucks on just one vid. Using your calculation of $14 net per hour gives a total net income of around $2,520 every 4 weeks. There are hosts that earn this or more but most make less than this. I have talked with enough hosts about this to qualify as a statistically significant sample. I know some big earners but fewer than than 5 per cent of the hosts I have spoken with average over $2000 per month. You can believe me or not as you wish but I have more evidence to support what I say than those who suggest that most hosts are making thousands each month.

Hehe.. I expect many flippant responses but the truth is there WAS life before the internet and there was even international relationships too. Sadly a lot of that has been forgotten and the art of real contact with people, by phone , by letters , by visits has all but been forgotten.

Sure there are the odd one or two relics like me who relish and thrive on the idea of hand writing something for someone else to hold. It just says so much more than even a long email can. It says, I am thinking of you, and in this moment which is captured on paper ,you know I am thinking of you and only you.

If the internet ended tomorrow, well I would be out of a job for a start, but if there is one thing I do know from 18 years of making friends online it is that how we meet in the end is utterly irrelevant. It is that we did meet that made the difference. My oldest friends online know this about me but all of them pretty much agree we were friends before we met and had I been next door or next country we would still have something in common that makes us friends.

I guess that is kinda what the internet has really done to us. Made us full of connections but eroded the contact we have with people. This was not always the case and in the early days of 'social networking', before the web, before webcams , before flickr and facebook, there was a certain sense of innocence and trust that has been lost because you used to get to KNOW people, not just personas.

I thought I would die without TV at uni.. after 2 weeks I forgot about TV completely and had a much more enjoyable life because of it. Perhaps we should all do without the 'internet' for a while at least it would get us going out and smelling the roses.

The bad news is a ton of hosts just leave without any warning or goodbyes. Happens more often than not. The good news is every now and then you get an old host return to CC. Not a lot but a few do. Also sometimes a host will disappear for a few days, weeks or months because of school, vacation, family things...etc. Just be patient. If she is not back within 5 years ..move on.

Interesting question. I know that a minority of guys come to this site simply for chat and flirting with hosts without expecting or wanting anything sexual. These guys are clearly a minority. Without knowing who your are it is difficult to say if your appearance has anything to do with it but I doubt it. Some guys get shy, get seflconscious, get a bit of guilt or morality and bail. Don't take it personally but make notes of who seems upset and send them a CC mail...saying your enjoyed the chat and please come back. Good hosts keep notes on good customers. It is a business after all.

I can think of three reasons.

First, they just want to see if they can get you to strip. It is more like a game to them.

Second, with all due respect, your show may be boring or your lingerie might not be that exciting. I've seen some hosts that wear lingerie that you would expect a grandmother to wear and it is a big turn off. I have also seen some hosts that aren't used to giving a show take way to long to strip (not necessarily to stall, but just because they don't know what they are doing) and have no clue how to be sexy during a striptease.

Third, you are taking too long to strip and the member gets frustrated and just leaves since, unlike reason #2, he thinks you're stalling on purpose. He might wait until after you show something to satisfy his curiosity, but in terms of playing, he has lost his mood.

I have never left because of the first reason, but I have left because of the second and third. I wouldn't just leave without saying goodbye if we had a nice conversation since that would be rude and offensive. But when a host puts on a bad show, I do get a lot of phone calls and have to go, lol.

Very few hosts here are so hot that if their show is bad or if they stall too much I am going to wait around anyway. I always have the option to jump into another room where I know I can get a better show. I try not to be rude, but I have spent a lot of money here, and the second I get the feeling I am wasting my money or that a host is stalling to get more out of me, unless she is extremely hot, I am gone. The bottom line is that whether it is the host, or me, or both of us, I have had many good shows here as well as many good conversations. And in terms of a host needing to be turned on by a member to put on a good show, I can give you a long list of hosts that can put on great shows without my saying much of anything, giving her my cam, or doing anything else. I of course understand that it can be easier if the member helps her out, but I don't think that is his responsibility. If he doesn't feel like talking much, that is his choice. I guess he could go to instant action when he is not in a talking mood, but plenty of glamour and little shy hosts can put on a great show by just my simply saying "hi. how r u. nice to meet u" without anything more. I usually enter a host's room for a show. After all, this is a sex site (even if people hate hearing that), and I am choosing hosts based on their pics more than anything else so sex is on my mind. Even with non-adult, a guy is still choosing hosts that he is attracted to, most, if not all, of the time, so there is almost always a sexual element. Further, most profiles just aren't that interesting so I am not going to get mentally turned on by them and that basically leaves how a host looks to get me to enter her video.

But what happens once I am there varies. Even if sex is on my mind, there are some hosts that I have never asked a show from. Bottom line: it really depends on how the host acts, not just what the member wants.
