Please accept my apologies. I sometimes forget that a large percentage of the people on this site do not have English as their first language.
"Jump ship" was used to refer to a sailor that had left a ship without permission and had no intention of ever returning.

Apparently some can charge more. I think some like me sit there hoping and wishing they would jump ship and go a little farther. I think one can make a good argument that keeping a conversation going with a guy who may or may not be particularly interesting is more demanding than simply taking your clothes off. The most successful hosts effectively combine non-adult and adult. They can keep a member in video by talking intelligently and flirting with/teasong him and then they may get naked. The top ones can then keep a guy chatting in vid for some time after he comes. Then it may be time for round two or he finally leaves.

Its directed by Ang Lee, who also made other films I really like - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain.

I recommend "The Visitor"... nobody has mentioned it yet. I can't claim it's better than any others, but I liked it... a sweet, quietly moving film.

Playboy has been losing money for ages. They've been in a rocky financial state for years, so have most porn magazines. As you would guess, the Internet and free porn online has totally cut into their business. Ironically, online porn has also hit the porn industry itself. I saw porn star Savannah Sampson on a late night talk show and she was complaining about guys downloading her pics or clips online but NOT joining her pay site. I just look at the price. If very hot but too expensive, maybe I try once or twice. Or maybe I get started on my own, lol, before I jump into video to save some money. But I wouldn't never see a host because I couldn't resist... I would try her out and next time I think about her and needed some relief, I would jump into video with a cheaper host to save money. The real danger is when you pay less per minute, you feel that you can chat forever and sometimes can end up paying more in the end.

Although I have had my disagreements with her I find it a travesty that this girl hasnt been chosen to represent CC as a cover girl . There are few girls here who have a better look , shape , complexion ........ she is a natural beauty and worthy of a cover girl position . As regards the character , as much as i could fall out with her I would rather have someone like her in my life with some fire than so many of the Stepford Wives here , if you wonder what I mean , just read the forums during the contest :))) and you will get the picture .

Okay, here's a loaded question for both members and hosts:
Members, if you have spent a lot of time with a host in an effort to help them win a contest, what do you expect in return?
Hosts: at what point do you feel obligated to do something extra for a member, who may have spent more time than usual in private or open session? Or should you?
I recognize that members are competing for a prize too, and so I hope I have not biased my question either for or against. Just wondering what the views are...

I never would put myself in a position. It makes no economic sense for a member to go down that path. The chance of the host's or the member's winning is too small.
And in terms of a "quid pro quo" type of situation, I don't believe in doing that with friends. That is not what frienship is about.
And if a host isn't really my friend, why would I be spending all that money to help her win? What is she going to do? Use special toys in private? Meet me and have sex? I suppose things like that are possible, but I focus on friendship to meet hosts. At $300/hour (60 min at $5/min), I could have a hot woman come to my front door, lol, so why make a deal?
Would I chat with a host that was a friend to help her a little bit.? Sure. But would I be paying $5/min open or $6/min 121 and staying 30 to 60 minutes or more like it seemed that many guys were? No way! It makes no sense economically or in terms of friendship to be doing things lik that.
If a host friend needed $300 for school or something, I might send it, but just to try to win a contest, no way. And once again, I expect nothing in return from friends other than being there for me at an emotional/personal level, i.e., just being a friend. Agreeing with a lot of what you say. I also would help a host who needed money for school. etc but not during a contest because the purpose of coming here is for stress relief and some hosts become more interested in contest rather than us.

I travel to her city for business every once in a while and we met before so we make deals for our next meet. It's not that I would travel just for to meet her. It's just usual biz with a little bit of fun on the side ;-)

In my opinion it is about relationships and teamwork. I want my favorite host to win and I don't mind spending the money to help her. My host was not a winner but we had fun doing the puzzle together. We worked as a team.
As for hosts, it is a network selling game. If the host has taken the time to develop more that a supraficial relationship, then the member is likely to continue to buy her product. Selling is a relationship game in this business as it is in many.
A relationship means that the host and member connect on some level and are able to communicate. That means that expectations are shared up front. Then there are no surprises, no hurt feelings.
It is also a "numbers" game. It pays to develop rapport with members and keep them coming back. It is easier to get the second and third sale and the member is likely to spend more money.
If there is not a relationship then what you see is what you get. Members choose to spend time with a host for a reason. If the host is meeting that reason they will continue to spend money. If not, they will move on to the next one with their reward being a puzzle piece or two. If you happen to get duplicates and as a member your expectations were not met, then it is your own fault. Try communicating and connecting and if a particular host is not for you, then graciously say thank you and goodbye rather than play the game.
I guess what I am saying is we all need to take responsibility for our actions. And that goes for host and member alike. In reality, when you have a relationship, communication and teamwork how can you say you lost?

I was one of the winners, but yes… it was hitting the lotto. Pure luck. And it’s that way for both hosts and members, I think. So I understand perfectly what “a member” says about avoiding contests altogether.
Given that I did win, do I expect something in return from the host I joined with? Not really… if I got a free private or discount, or something along those lines (and I haven’t), I would regard it as a gift that arises out of my relationship to the host. But my best friend in the contest didn’t win, sorry to say… she was not the one I completed the puzzle with, because of circumstances. Winning isn’t everything, alas…
