stange message on screen

i entered the text chat of a host. She was in one to one video, and i could not type anything. When she finished i said hi and suddenly, everything that was on screen disappeared. and got no responses from her.

when i entered into video, there was a message in pink letters saying something like " you're no longer ignored....."

i assume she had ignored me on the text chat and turned it when she was getting $$ from me. Her story is that is a cc feature that ignores members in text chat when she is in video and stayed likt that after she finished.

Is that thing possible? or she just think i am really gullible

When a host is in one to one video, she cannot see anything typed in text chat. I think that she can see messages in text chat when she is in open session.

RE: stange message on screen

If host is in one to one video, you were automatically ignored and no typing can be done. After the host leaves the one to one the system just was notifying you are no longer being ignored. If the host was still online you should have been able to join the host in either text or video.

Maybe done that before, but this time system or her fingers were slower than usual and i was able to catch a glimpse of message.

she can ignore me all she wants. my credit card will do same to her.

just wanna point out that when u leave the txt chat to go into her vid(or even if u leave txt chat and then go back in2 txt ) u r automatically unignored.....so my guess is that if u saw that it could b a system fault

RE: who should call first?

It does not matter who calls first on one specific occasion. What matters is whether or not one person is usually the person to call first. If one person never calls, that person obviously doesn't care too much about the relationship. Relationships are not about keeping score in terms of things like how many times one person call another, but at the same time, it should not always be one person that makes the call every time there is a disagreement or even just to say hello.

I would just call this time and not worry about it. In terms of what to say, just say "Hello. I love you and miss you", and see how things go from there. Just the relationship over a longer period of time, not just based on one fight, or one phone call, or on who calls first.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

Judge the relationship over a longer period of time, not just based on one fight, or one phone call, or on who calls first.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

Relationships are all about who ha the power, yes indeed. If you cave now, expect to be treated worse in the future.
Be strong!

Reply

RE: who should call first?

I agree with what the others have said, it isn't about who calls first, it's about saving the relationship. If you are still concerned about who calls 1st try this...Call but make it a quick one (say, opss, I have to go, my food is ready or someone is knocking at my door or something like that) and ask him if he can call back in an hour.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

If I were you I would take a look at the relationship and if you feel that it is worth saving then do not hesitate to call. It does not matter who is first. You may be waiting for him and he may be waiting for you. That could go on to a point that no call is made by either of you. Make an effort to patch up the relationship if that is what you want. If you do not care about a relationship with that person then forget calling.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

and if you can have sex with his best friend, do that too.......that'll teach the bastard not to ignore you.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

And if you did not call in the 4 days, maybe you do not care as much for him also. This works both ways as far as a relationship goes.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

There's no reason a "first call" is an apology. I would call and say: "Girl, I think we should have a coffee and talk."

Reply

RE: who should call first?

A relationship is not about power and pride - amongst other things, it's about communication, understanding, compromise and forgiveness. If he is important to you, if the relationship is important to you, I believe you should ring him. Show him that HE is the one that matters to you and not whatever happened a few days ago. Don't forget that he might be living the same dilema as you. Be the wise one. What have you got to lose? :-) Not everyone finds it easy to say they are sorry.

Don't think too much of what you can say of how you can start the conversation - pick up the phone dial the number and the words will flow :-)

Just my thoughts :-)

....but all human interaction is based on power and pride, to pretend otherwise is self-sabotage.

Reply

RE: who should call first?

Are you trying to say that you have come across every single human interraction on this planet - or are you talking from whatever others have discovered?

Whatever it is, you judging and comenting on my thoughts, seems a bit pointless because you will never get me to see things the way you do and likewise. Alongside other things that's what differentiates us humans, a unique way of perception and values of life.

I am not contesting the fact that certain situations and even relationships in our lives have as a compiling factor, power and pride. However, I don't believe that a love relationship should be "based" (your word), on power and pride. That would hardly get us anywhere. Again my thoughts, which you can argue if you like but it won't get you anywhere.

I believe that the original poster (which I have replied to), will take whatever suits her out of this trade. That doesn't mean that she will follow my advice if it doesn't match her situation or beliefs, and self-sabotage.

Speaking about self-sabotage, living upon your own beliefs and standards, being yourself in any situation, it's hardly self-sabotage. But then again, you might think different.

Self-sabotage behavior is when there is no logical or rational explanation for why you can't do the things you want to do or why you can't have the things you want to have.
Self-sabotage behavior is most recognizable by the experience of an internal "tug-of-war" between having a desire to do something and feeling like you can't or shouldn't do it.

Merry Christmas to you! :-)

drive safe this holiday season

I was driving home last night from the city and I had a little too much to drink and of course, my car was weaving all over the road. A cop pulls me over, "He asked me, where have I been" I ask why, did I missed something or was I speading, he said no and ask me again, where you been." I said I've been to the bar downtown of course, celebrating my anniversity. Well the cop said it looks like you've had quite a few to drink this evening, I said I did alright, nothing to brag about, but I am having a hard time of hearing. He said did you know a few intersections back your wife fell out of the car. Oh no I said, omg, thanks heaven officer, I thought I'd gone deaf.

Do you have $2,200?

Research indicates that assets of just $2,200 per adult place a household in the top half of the world's wealthiest. To be among the richest 10% of adults in the world, just $61,000 in assets is needed. If you have more than $500,000, you're part of the richest 1%, a United Nations study says. Indeed, 37 million people now belong in that category.

"Surprisingly, household debt is relatively unimportant in poor countries. As the authors of the study point out: ‘While many poor people in poor countries are in debt, their debts are relatively small in total. This is mainly due to the absence of financial institutions that allow households to incur large mortgage and consumer debts, as is increasingly the situation in rich countries.'

"The authors go on to note that ‘many people in high-income countries have negative net worth and—somewhat paradoxically—are among the poorest people in the world in terms of household wealth.'"

The poor people in eastern europe are not even in debt, because it's a cash society there, the credit cards, loans etc are recently introduced therefore peolpe didnt have the chance to go in debt.

Fall to your knees and thank God that you don't have easy credit yet. Once you have it you will be raped in the ass daily with interest rates. You will be tempted to buy the trappings of the consumer society you see in the movies, on TV and in the magazines, selling your financial future in ways you can't imagine.

Reply

RE: Do you have $2,200?

I was talking to a host the other day, and she was thinking in getting credit for some major purchase.

It seems they are going into easy preapproved credits ... faster than we thought. And consumers are going to find out that a 15% interest rate... is not 15% of the value your purchased.

well, in time they willl learn that buy-me-on-cheap-monthly-payments is not the best way to get your stuff.

it doesn't matter...

You want to divide all the wealth of the world equally? It won't work. Within a generation it would be back exactly where it is now.

If you remember when the Soviet empire collapsed there was a distribution of certain assets among all the citizens in the form of stock (called assets). Within a few months virtually all the stock was sold for pennies because they didn't have any idea of the worth or value involved.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

It wasn't so much for not having an idea about the value. It was, because for most it was the only possibility to get some money to buy basics. As usual, those who already had enough - or had their connections - could afford to buy those assets for cheap and become very rich soon after. You can't distribute assets to a society where most have nothing. It may work in a wealthy sosciety, but not in a poor.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

EXACTLY SO!!! Redistribution from rich to poor can't work. You have to EARN it.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

Though redistribution of wealth is happening very slowly. An article I read last summer put it at about 15% of the worlds wealthiest population controls 50% of the wealth. As sad as that may sound that the best it's been in recorded history, it's estimated 400 years prior that 2% of the population had 80-90% of the wealth.

1.000.000 lei in 1991. What was that worth? About $13.000?? ($1 = 76.47 old lei in 1991) Not very much, even in 1991 in Romania and hardly proves anything.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

You don't think $13,000 in 1991 had any value? That's worth over $19,000 in 2007. That's almost $60,000 for a family of three. You are saying if your family received a check for $60,000 that's a "nothing?" I wish I was so rich as you.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

The term "millionaire" is a term used when somebody is extremely wealthy, and stricly speaking, has over $1.000.000... 1.000.000 lei in 1991 would not make anyone extrememely wealthy.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

I disagree. It's all subjective. In the UK a person with $1,000,000 would not be counted as a millionaire.

I also disagree that, strictly speaking, the term has to refer to $ and that someone with a million of their own unit of currency is not, technically speaking, a millionaire.

The only point I would agree with is that when we use the term millionaire we are usually using the term to mean someone who is rich.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

I think you also missed the point, no it would not make them a millionaire, but it would make them very well off in a country whose average monthly income was $200.00. So even in 1991, $13000 would have been more than 5 years salary. How many people do you know, even in wealthy countries, that have 5 years salary sitting in their bank account? Very few. In fact, most financial planners in wealthy countries advise people to keep at least 6 months salary in the bank in case of an emergency, such as a loss of employment, and most are still unable to save that much.

Reply

RE: it doesn't matter...

Yes. But let's be fair. It was 1,000,000 lei in stock, not cash. I didn't follow that news then, I only saw the new reports of the Russian situation. They probably had no faith in their system - don't forget the Romanian "revolution" was a sham - with the old party apparatchic still running things under a different name. They may have thought 10 bani in the hand was worth more than the promise of 1 leu later. In Romania they also had the opportunity to but their apartments and houses. The wise ones did and bought those of their neighbors who weren't interested.

"The Economist" is just like many economists.... clueless!!! His response here is not on-point, and in any event, is based upon a few isolated examples.

I remember that his response to the first of the "dollar and you" posts was to attack the analaysis about interest rates by saying he "did not know where to begin". He never began, and never offered anything to refute or counter what was said when politely asked. Now the dollar is stabilizing, and even going up a bit, because of the threat of inflation in the US is causing less chance of interest rate deductions.

Give us some substance or change your nickname!

"Economist" and "the economist" are 2 different people.

MY answer was a reaction to the statement that "assets of just $2,200 per adult place a household in the top half of the world's wealthiest."

This statement opens the debate to an argument for seeing to it that asset levels are equalized across the world, stripping wealth from the wealthy and giving it to the poor. If you don't want to join that debate, simply ignore my posts.

Women Are Evil By Nature

A woman went up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestured alluringly to the bartender who approached her immediately. She seductively signaled that he should bring his face closer to hers. As he did, she gently caressed his full beard.

\"Are you the manager?\" she asked, softly stroking his face with both hands. \"Actually, no,\" he replied.

\"Can you get him for me? I need to speak to him,\" she said, running her hands beyond his beard and into his hair.

\"I\'m afraid I can\'t,\" breathed the bartender.. \"Is there anything I can do?\"

\"Yes. I need you to give him a message,\" she continued, running her forefinger across the bartender\'s lip and slyly popping a couple of her fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently.

\"What should I tell him?\" the bartender managed to say.

\"Tell him,\" she whispered, \"There\'s no toilet paper, handsoap, or paper towels in the ladies room

What a Son Teaches You

Well I don't have any children, but a friend passed this on to me and I just felt the need to share (Not to mention the urge to try #25, no skipping ahead) ...

And you also find out interesting things when you have sons, like...

1. A king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.

2. If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.

3. A 3-year old Boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.

4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 pound Boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20x20 ft. room.

5. You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.

6. The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.

7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh", it's already too late.

8. Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.

9. A six-year old Boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old Man says they can only do it in the movies.

10. Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4- year old Boy.

11. Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.

12. Super glue is forever.

13. No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.

14. Pool filters do not like Jell-O.

15. VCR's do not eject "PB & J" sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.

16. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.

17. Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.

18. You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.

19. Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.

20. The fire department in Austin, TX has a 5-minute response time.

21. The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.

22. It will, however, make cats dizzy.

23. Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.

24. 80% of Women will pass this on to almost all of their friends, with or without kids.

25. 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid.

RE: I have a qustion for you, guys.

Well you have shattered my dream as I thought all of you were still virgins :(

That would have partly explained why it takes ages for some of you to get naked :P

You have got me thinking though and now I don't know whether or not to believe that that hot girl I saw on all fours while her bf thrust his hips backwards and forwards from behind her in the boy-girl category last night is really a virgin like she told me :(

Unfortunately sensible, well crafted, thought provoking replies are not my strong point but as I am not one of those people who believe that a girl could not be a virgin and work here your question did not really apply to me.

But as you always post with that nice shaped thing at the end of your posts I promise I will try harder the next time you ask a question.

I'm probably going to feel stupid (more stupid ?) when you tell me the answer but what is it supposed to be ?

RE: I have a qustion for you, guys.

I believe it is possible for a virgin to work here and i know one who has now left. Your thinking on 18/19 year old girls does not hold, though, for many girls here, especially Russian, say the age for losing virginity is between 15 and 17. I do not dis-believe there are virgins here, but many of 18/19 year old say they have had at least one lover. Virginity is a rare thing and should be cherished. It is amazing the number of young girls here who are not virgins. But then, I am old and from a time when the World held different values.

RE: I have a qustion for you, guys.

I don't think an innocence is the same as a virginity. A woman could stay virgin till her 40 years old and could has no idea what is sex at all, saving her innocent soul. At the same time any girl can be enough experienced without losing her virginity...This is a well-known fact.
So, in any case CC is not the best place for innocent girls. You anyway meet here any kind of sex and perversions from time to time while your sessions. Of course it changes you and your soul. So, you stay a virgin just physically but you know everything about sex and what a strange persons men could be...
Also I dont think you could change the cynicism of some men and women...but I support your point of view that the more we both men and women are innocent, the better for both of us, because we still have a chance to see things as they SHOULD be...

virgin or not. why does it matter? the last thing i want to hear from a girl im chatting with is how many guys she had and what she did with them. and if she is a virgin i'd prefer she plays up to my fantasies and at least pretend to know what she is doing. her virginity is her business (as is mine :P).

Reply

RE: I have a qustion for you, guys.

I think the ratio of virgins to non virgins on CC is the same as the ratio of virgins to non virgins of young women working anywhere. I don't think working here makes it more likely you are not a virgin nor more likely. Remember the personal lives of hosts have little or no relationship to their online personas. They are actresses. They are playing a role. They will do or say anything to be successful here. The girls who work here are generally very bright, articulate and driven to succeed. These girls are the cream of the crop virgin or not.

yes a virgin can work here. Why not? As much as we are the same , we are always a little different. Life would be boring otherwise.

WOW.
I wrote the original. Is she a virgin. I didn't it was cause all this.

Why did I write it?
I want to see if I was dealing with a girl who lies or is nice girl.
I have decided, she is a nice girl.

We see so many posts here, about love and heartbreak, just how many members have a CC girlfriend, and, how many hosts have a CC boyfriend? What is the attraction? Does a long-distance relationship really work? What gives? Is it a real relationship, or, just who is kidding who?
Knockers cynics and psychopaths don't bother, you are bored before you get to this section.

RE: No Title

You ask these questions and then ask knockers, cynics and psychopaths not to answer. As you said nothing about liars and that seems to be the answers you are after I will go with that option.

All members have a cc gf

All hosts have a cc bf (there is exactly the same number of members as hosts so no one is cheating on anyone else).

The attraction for the member is that this is the only place where you can meet a girl who isn't interested in your money and where we can really appreciate the beauty within rather than just the physical beauty.

The attraction for the host is that this is the only place where they can meet real gentlemen who won't treat them like sex objects, who are probably the most handsome men in the world and who have the skills to charm and romance any woman they meet.

Of course long distance relationships always work as the two people are so in love being attracted to someone else is never an issue.

Don't understand what that question means but my dog always gives me a wag of his tail when he sees me.

Yes it is a real relationship and nobody is kidding anyone else.

For Example :-

me :Hi

Host : Hi hru ?

me : fine and you ?

Host : I am fine too. Your name ?

me : INYF

Host : would you like me to be your gf INYF ?

me : Only if you are willing to ......... (I think it's best to leave it there)

As you can see how could any relationship with that level of commitment fail ? :P

Mutual need. Hosts need regular customers who they can count on to visit them on a regular basis and do a few hours of video every month. If a host can hook a few regulars with deep pockets she has a steady income. She then can be fussy about passing on 5 minute quick video for other members. She has her sugar daddies to help pay her rent.

Members have a need too. They are looking for youth, innocense, beauty, sexuality, companionship, femaile interaction, affirmation that they are nice, funny, sexy. They are just as needy but emotionally and sexually.

So relationships form but most are self serving. And that;s fine. I don't doubt most hosts and members really care about each other on different levels. But bottom line it is sex and money that rules the world and CC in particular.

There are hosts and former hosts that I rarely if ever vid chat with that I talk to all the time and have known for many years. I have met one host in real after she quit working and was a very nice time between two friends, and look to meet couple other friends this year from CC and others.

RE: No Title

Well, if I was to believe the hosts here that I have chatted too. I must the greatest guy to have walked this earth lol. I wish I had a pound for every time I have been told by a host "I Love You" "I miss You" "you are the best" I admit somtimes it can be fun to go along with it lol
Even better when you not chatted to a host for a few weeks and they still say "I Love you" "I miss you" so I always ask what you remember about me? it's amazing the answer I get, or lack of lol. Then there is the "I Want to meet you in real" but they can't meet me till "my sister has gone after her visit" and lots of other delay tactics used so you don't meet them.

I will say yes relationships can and have happened, but I believe for them to be taken serious on both sides (host/members) the whole communication has to be taken away from the work (Host) paid webcam world. If it isn't, then believing and trusting each other can be a big problem.

Thats my thoughts anyway :)

RE: No Title

Everything started as things most of the times do on CC...
Member - chathost "relationship". He was coming into vid quite a bit and why not being honest about it, I liked that (which chathost wouldn't). That's how he's got my attention in the first place and of course the chats we had.
It all happened in a time of my life when I was making fun of the relationships starting on CC just as so many others.

Our relationship has progressed a lot in a very short time, e-mails, chats on yahoo, many, many phone calls and so on. One evening in the CC chat room he asked me to marry him... I didn't think anything of it, I took it as a joke as it happened several times before and never took it seriously. In the end we agreed to meet (the first time I have agreed to meet someone from CC).

Up untill today I can't explain myself what made do it since I have never agreed to meet anyone from CC or any other place on the internet. I guess it was the spirit of adventure reaching out. I didn't expect anything to happen I just saw it as dating someone (if you like). And so we have met at the airport and that was it, we clicked straight away the minute we layed eyes on each other we knew it was meant to be. A few days after we got engaged and several months later we were married and I moved abroad.

In all the time we were apart between getting engaged and getting married, before leaving my country, I was still hosting on CC, paying my bills, University fees and so on. I have never received any money nor gifts from him apart from flowers.

How did everything work in all this time we were apart?
Two open minded people, a lot of communication and trust.

This happened nearly 5 years ago. Despite the fact that we have met on CC, and being judged by people around because of it, our marriage is still standing strong, and we are very happy together. With little ups and downs just as any other marriage (why not being honest about it). A marriage is and has been something you work on or you loose it.

All together makes us realise how fortunate we have been to give this relationship a chance, to meet the way we have met and to be as happy as we are today.

For those out there who are wondering what are we still doing on CC- the answer is simple - CC is the place we have met - plenty of couples out there visit every now and again the place where they have met. We still visit the forums, public chat.... We enjoy CC, we always have and probably always will do for as long as it will be around.

By writting briefly our story - I am trying to say something that has been written many times in these forums - Come on CC but don't expect anything if things are meant to happen they will.

Take resonable risks if you wish - I personally did, got hurt a few times (I fell inlove here and it wasn't meant to be, it's something that can happen very easily on the internet or real life). And then when I least expected it and didn't think anything of it, it happened for good.

Enjoy everything around you as much as you can, don't come on CC with pre-conceived ideas, there are some great people around here. Whatever reason you are here for give everyone a fair chance - and if something is meant to happen it will. We get hurt in the real life too but we don't stop living or hoping that our dreams will come true.

Just remember- CC can be the beginning of a relationship the rest of it happens in the real life.

"It's better to have lived and loved than never to have loved at all."

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! :-)

That is a very nice story. Of course it is the exception not the rule. Anything is possible in life. But it begs the question...why are you still involved with CC?

Reply

RE: No Title

I think she said it, though you may not have liked the answer. I, too, would think they would be weaned off by now, but apparently not.

Reply

RE: No Title

Yep, absolutely amazing story...and the most amazing is that all good things (well, bad things as well...*sigh*) are happening when they are not expected.
Definitely it is not we're who choose the places and times, and whom we should meet in our lives...

RE: No Title

Makes me smile to realise I am not the only one who lingers on CC despite not being very active these days. Congratulations to you and your success. Not of meeting someone on CC and getting married, but the success on finding someone to love and making it work out. We can only hope to reach that goal.

Wish I could say more but now is not the time.

Have a very Merry Christmas and may you have plenty of joy and happiness to last you through the colder winter nights.

RE: what love really is ?!

"Love suffers long, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.... And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love"
