I think he's referring to minimum/maximum prices per se, rather than in any particular category. As somebody who likes at least an hour in video, which is $120 at his suggested minimum, I would need to find a different hobby. His prices might not have much impact on the 5-minute wankers or once-a-week viewers but would drive away members who actually want to get to truly appreciate the hosts, and simply wouldn't be able to afford it. But then, perhaps that's what you want.

I think is time to debunk this false argument that somehow the women hosting here (or on other sites) represent the creme de la creme of their generation. Sure they represent "quality", however one would seek to define that, but for every one hosting there are a score of equal "quality" women not hosting, and who would never dream of doing so. Be it Ivanovo, Bucharest, Manila or Medelin, the hosts represent a minute % of the available population with the necessary attributes to be successful as a host. Think of everything that attracts someone to their favourite host, and all those factors (and more) will be found many times over in scores of women who have never thought of turning on a webcam for profit.

And try and get one of them to sit down and have a conversation and then flirt and tease with you :) What was your point?

Each girl is different. Depends on category, your looks, your personality and what you do in video, are you new girl or are you returning, do you work on other sites... many different things.

If you don't strip I say under $1 if strip and other stuff $1 to 1.50. Not so shy $1.50 to $2. Instant Action $2 and above. I'm sure many members will say these prices are too high and hosts will say too low.

Obviously popular girls can charge more. Again supply and demand is key.

Actually, the answer to your question is YES -- that IS the same principle that any normal person would use (to use your example) to try a "new holiday destination". Let's be honest here -- there's a BIG difference between going to a standard little beach along the coast of some country and checking yourself into some quaint little hotel VERSUS going all out and flying off to the Caribbean or some exotic tropical island in the South Pacific and staying in a 5-star resort. So again, the answer is "yes". For pretty much everything in life, OF COURSE you price things out based on "what" you'll be getting for your money. That is just common sense.

It dosent matter on the price or the category, its more to do with the members and the hosts. Every member have different 'wallet' size, different tastes in women etc. One member may be willing to pay $1/min whereas another maybe willing to pay $4/min. I think that host would be better off charging what works for them, and what sort of member they want to attract, although you'll get all sort anyway. ( i dont like the idea of the 5min sessions, think they would better off viewing free porn on the web, its free and not complaint on what a host will or will not do.)
I used to see hosts, if they didnt appeal to me i leave gracefully and find another (no need for bad votes just cause she wasnt right for me), Once i found the host for me, i stayed with her as was willing to pay anything.

Whilst by the strict economist definition most countries are no longer in recession, the post-recession austerity measures actually mean that most people are now worse off than during the recession itself. The recession is over? That would be news to me and the clients I handle on Wall Street. Countries in Europe are still in danger of defaulting on their loans. America has 10% unemployment and that figure was rising again last month. The correct number is actually around 16-18% once you factor in those who no longer qualify for unemployment benefits and are no longer counted by the U.S. government. That means between 20 to 30 MILLION Americans are currently out of work or can barely find enough work to stay afloat. Russia is in horrible shape. Finally, most people mistakenly believe China is doing well, but their economy is now completely dependent on America since China relies so heavily on exporting their goods to the U.S. They also hold the treasury credit on untold dollars, which they would like to dump but now can't. The average person has no comprehension how truly huge and important the American economy is on a global scale. If it were to ever collapse, there would be no safe place in the world. The economic earthquake would go forth and hit countries so hard and so fast that we'd take the rest of you down with us practically overnight. Any hosts who believe the global recession is over are mistaken and economically ill informed.

Recession is not over.
Ask the unemployed who no longer figure into unemployment data because their benefits have expired.
Ask the person who has not had a raise in over 3 years, but the cost of living has continued to rise those three years, so his effective earnings/buying power is considerably reduced.
Ask the homeless people who can't find shelter on these bitter cold winter nights here in my state, because the shelters are crowded to overflowing and cannot accept them.

As an American, I personally relate to some of the situations I referred to in my post, though I obviously am not homeless. But the fact is in America, the homeless situation is worsening, not improving. In my work we aid a lot of people who are in need. Our requests for assistance have tripled in the last year, requests for help to stave off eviction or utilities being cut off, or to put food on the table, or gasoline for their car. People, many people are not making it. The recession -- IF it is over -- has left long-term problems that many will take a long time to recover from.

Anyway, MY post was not about price increases or no price increases. It was response to your ridiculous statement about the recession. And by the way, if you are a host, it would be good for you to post your screenname, because with your attitude toward us Americans, I'm sure many would like to avoid you.

Though I like the prices low, in my opinion they are extremely low, too low, and in deed, far below what one sees on other sites. Of course, on other sites, I think for many the prices are too high.

But don't forget this IS a market-driven enterprise, and prices are determined not just by the host, but by wha the market will bear. A host is free to charge whatever she wants to charge with whatever guidelines CC allows. However, set the price too high, she shoots herself in the foot. Set the price too low, may also have adverse affect. Some people do believe in "You pay for what you get" and too low a price will turn such people away, thinking the show will not be quality. Maybe stupid reasoning, but some think that way. And then there are those who are money slaves, or whatever term it is called by. They want the price high and get off because of it. I can't understand it, but I've had hosts tell me it's true. But to each his own.

So, "regular small increases" may not be realistic. "occasional" increases would be more realistic, since this is a market-driven business. Just my two cents. No , make that three cents.

I think some members know about what host earn and some dont.

It's about being a smart business person. You set best price for the demand of your services. You don't blindly raise price when most of the regular working people in the world are having a hard time and then post in host forum "why you have fewer minutes in video".

I visit another site where the video price was at a fixed price for many years. Last year they dropped the price by 17% and added voyeur mode and way for members to tip hosts. Are these changes better for host or member? Probably 50/50. It's more affordable for members but host lose some % because of lower private price but they can make difference by tips & voyeur since 80% of girls on that site work on another site too. The most popular girls will always make money no matter the price. It's all about demand. If host goes many hours without video she can say in her chat "I'll go to voyeur and do something there". At least she has chance to make some $$$ that day instead of nothing.

On that other site she can't drop her price. On CC you have chance to adjust price by demand. If slow day you can swallow your pride and drop price maybe $0.10 or if busy day you can raise price a little. Again all about supply and demand. It's better to have 30 minutes each hour of work than to have only 5 minutes each hour of work at higher price.

Smart members know they can always find girl who will have lower price, but still of course he will complain that his favorite girl raised her price. That's life.

I agree tipping sucks and that's why I thought it was crazy that some members wanted that on CC. But for host who have few videos on other sites it's way that they can at least make some money. Best option for those girls would be working on CC.

I feel sorry for girls who are new and work in studios that work only on other sites. Because unless they are really beautiful or have great personality in chat or audio they're probably not going to make much money. The control CC gives on categories and pricing is the best for hosts and even members even though members complain about it all the time.

If your price is too high you'll get fewer videos. If you're price is too low you'll be too busy and can't give attention to all in your video. You just need to find right price and category to earn what you need.

I have a friend who is host who returned after a few years away. She started with higher price and got less than 20 minutes video each day. I keep telling her to use CC category and price to her advantage. Told her to lower price. She said no. Still not many minutes each day. I kept telling her CC is different from other sites and cant charge so much here. Again told her to drop price. Again no because of too much pride. Finally she understood. Lowered her price, changed category and also changed work hours. She got really busy. I told her I thought her price was too low because it was lower than price she had in past when working in studio. She's smart and beautiful too so she raised her price a little. Now she is happy and making good living and still has 4.5 to 5 rating.

Lower priced hosts are not the busiest at all. Most of the time it is quality that determines worth. The high end dept. stores are going out of business because they charge more....they aren't stupid either. You get what you pay for and if you have the quality show then you can charge more. Sorry but your theory is not fact at all!! Many of the cheap stores go out of business while the high priced dept stores are still doing well.

I never said lowest price hosts are busiest. I said popular host can get the price they want.

Other host need to adjust their price so they can earn the amount they want. If their price is too high the demand for them will be smaller than for host with same rating but lower price. Simple economics.

You might not be aware of the names but K-Mart for instance was in bankruptcy and also Ames completely lost it. If you are from the U.S. through time there has been many that closed through time that were huge. You do the search if you want to prove me wrong. Very few of the large high end dept. stores have closed. I wouldn't consider Montgomery Wards high end either. Nordstrom's, Macy's etc. have always done well and there are much higher end than that that thrive. Just go to NYC if you need proof :)

I don't really know if you can really call them discount stores compared to Walmart, but in any case other retailers like Amazon, Costco, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes were able to beat them on price.

I think you'll notice that most of those stores were in urban middle class or lower class areas. It happens that those are the communities doing the worst now in America.

Yes many higher end retailers are doing well, but it's more about the communities/people those stores serve than about prices.

CC is a special site and they should use the features(categories and price control) of the site to their advantage. But also don't let pride get in the way of making smart business decisions.

Just because your cost of living went up it doesn't mean blindly raising your price will cover your higher expenses. Your earnings might go down because of fewer minutes. On the other side if you drop prices you might get more minutes to offset price drop. It's all about supply and demand. More hosts (new, returning and older 1st time host) working now and probably fewer members with disposable income.

Popular girls with almost always get whatever price they want within reason. All the other girls need to look more carefully at what they want to earn and how many hours they want to work.

The reality at least for most US workers is that they didn't get raise in last 2 or 3 years. They are lucky to have jobs. Many millions lost their homes. The middle class is not lower middle class or lower class. They also are living with the same price increses as other people in the world. CC and other camsites are entertainment not essentials like food, water, heat, cooling, medicine/health, or gasoline/petrol.

The economy has changed. For most older workers (probably like most members on CC) in US and probably other parts of world too they will never earn as much as they did in the past. The have to be smart with their spending and in many cases cut out luxuries. Sure there are still super rich people around but I don't think the average member is an oil baron or internet millionaire.

Unfortunately many of the girls working on camsites are living in countries that don't give them may opportunities. The average income of an office job is ridiculously low. These girls need to pay more attention to the features of CC and use them to their advantage.

Why so much jealously between hosts? My friend asked for help in host forum and the only answers she got was it's slow for all.

She made only $300 in two months at higher price. She finally took my advice and lower price and changed category. She had 3 hour video in first day and made in 2.5 days at lower price the same amount that took 2 months at higher price. She has good rating and was so busy she could raise her price 50% and still earn the amount she wants in 4 to 6 hours each day.

If she used her host name then she would usually get honest imput from other hosts. She ended up figuring it out too didn't she???

Like most Russian women she has a lot of pride and I think was mad at me to even suggest dropping her price. I never told her how low to set her price. She set lower price than I would have told her if she asked me what price to use. That's why she could raise back her price by 50% and still make good money.

I've observed the same and it doesn't make sense. I assume it is a cultural thing. I'm told the cost to do so is very low. The curves are great when clothes are on but maybe it's a personal thing but man I HATE the look of fake boobs when they are naked. But they like their look lean and sophisticated. Oh yeah you can get weight loss surgery (lapband or RNY) for a fraction of the cost in the US>

Sex becomes a bedroom thing instead of letting the intimacy linger through the day to create the desire and keeping it exciting always. I could list things like walking on a beach at sunset or taking my lover to a candlelit dinner as things I'd arrange. And I think that's what true romance is. It's when you meet that one special person who inspires you so much that it actually changes your life. I tend to drive her crazy or make her mad at times...and she gets under my skin too...but I can't help loving her. We may never get together...in fact, lately we've been fighting which makes me sad...but I know one thing for sure. You are most likely wrong under the rules since it is a hard core category and EVERY viewer has the right to nudity. There is no clause that say, the host has to get naked unless the first guy doesn't want her to.

You are taking things with this first come, first served notion too far. To say that a host, especially an Instant Action host, can refuse to give a show just because someone wants just to chat is contrary to the intent of the category. And while I don't know for sure, I am confident CC would issue a credit in such a case.

It is one thing for the host to defer to the first member in terms of the type of show, such as if he wants to see doggy and the second guy wants to see her lay on her back, she is free to follow the first guy's request and probably should. But not to get naked altogether because she is chatting? I doubt CC would endorse that.

It isn't about taking your chances. It is about the rules. And under the rules, unless you can show me an email from CC that says I am wrong, it seems pretty obvious that hard core hosts need to put on a show for any viewer that wants one and cannot use chatting with another viewer as an excuse.

And by the way, why couldn't she use the second viewer as a reason just to chat even if the first guy wants nudity? Where in the rules under your logic does it say that she must defer to the first guy? Why couldn't she say "well, one guy just wanted to chat so I did that?" The answer is there is nothing about first come, first served in terms of getting naked and putting on a show anywhere in the rules. The only thing that appears are statements indicating hosts need to get naked.

If you want to argue that regardless of the rules, it should be first come, first served, that is one thing. But the rules trump such a notion as far as I can tell since all viewers in hard core have the right to nudity without any type of limitatioin as to the order of entering video.

That led me to believe that you were saying if the first viewer in hard core, open wants to just chat and the second wants nudity, that the second viewer would have to come back. You are most likely wrong if that is what you meant.

It isn't about hosts being people. It is about following the rules that they agreed to. You want respect as a host and as a woman, then follow the rules otherwise you do not deserve any type of respect. End of story!!!

I hear your point and I would agree with you. It would be hard to believe that a member would go to an IA or not so shy host and talk to her in open and then be disappointed if she began performing for other guests that came into the room. I am sure that he would enjoy the goods too.... If she feared he might not like that then she should be considerate of the other guests and ask him to come back and take her 121. In open I perform for all and if the first guest wants to chat with me or exclusively then he should always take me 121 or expect interruptions.

As has been discussed below, you would need to ask CC what is "right" under the rules when the first guy wants to just chat with the hard core host.

I agree with what has been said in another thread, namely that the first guy should go 121 or you can give a password to him if he just wants to chat. And think about it: you are allowing the first guy to get all of your attention at the open price when he really should "man up" and go 121. Sometimes, you might even be able to make more money with 2 or 3 guys in open if you give a show instead of telling them to all come back. Is that fair to you?

The first guy knows it's hard core. He knows guys want action. So if he wants to just chat, he should go 121 or accept that if someone wants nudity, you need to stop chatting and put on a show. After all, there is nothing in the rules that says you can say no to the second viewer just because u are chatting with the first. And if it is a regular of urs, then give him a password sometimes, and other times, he can go 121.

I agree with giving the first guy priority if you are giving a show and the first guy asks for one thing and the second asks for another. But in your category, all viewers have a right to nudity, so if the first guy doesn't want it, but the second does, you should get naked. The first guy knows it is hard core so he shouldn't be upset with this. The second guy has a right to nudity under hard core. And you know it is hard core and have agreed to nudity as you well know. It is fair to everyone, and it might get you more money.

The guy just chatting will probably come back later if he doesn't want the show. He probably likes just talking to u, is a nice guy, and will be happy to return. The guy who wants to just wank is going to be annoyed that yet another hard core host said "sorry, no show" and might never come back. I could be wrong, but I think u will keep more regulars under my way than just deferring to the first guy. Plus, I think the rules don't really allow u to say no to the second guy just because u are chatting with the first since it is hard core but check with CC.

I understand your confusion but all viewers in open are equal in there regardless of what order they come in. As a host my attention goes to all but not exclusive to one person. They know this when they come into open and so I perform in general and not meeting one particular guests requests. If someone expects your full attention then 121 is the place and they realize that. You take too much of a risk trying to just please one in open and have the others rate you poorly because you are not doing what is expected for the category. My suggestion is rethink your thinking about putting anyone priority in open. All hosts face this and many times with a regular member that knows to go to 121 from the beginning. Why they don\'t confuses me unless they are testing what your mood might be. Another consideration is if he is coming to 121 then maybe he might be shy and not really know how to ask you to get naked and play and is hoping that someone else will come into open and and egg it on if you are not suggesting it. Hope that makes sense because I do believe that some come in thinking that you will just perform without them having to ask and they might feel awkward. Also keep in mind how many $$ you are throwing away when you have several in open and they are leaving unhappy and report you and lower your ratings. Think business wise :)) Good Luck!

If your point is that some hosts in hardcore categories are reluctant to put on a show, play the old "only in 121" game, and/or stall, I agree 100%. I hate it and often report them to CC. But there are still hosts that I like to just chat with at times in hard core categories.

I think the key is that the hard core host needs to respond to the viewer's mood instead of being a prima donna or acting like she is some dominatrix that gets to dictate things. If it is a hard core category and I am in video and want a show, she has two cholices: get naked or get reported to CC. She has agreed to get naked upon my request when she signed up for the category, so no matter what a host thinks about my attitude, too bad. You don't like it... Switch categories.

When I am in soft core, I am respectful and request nudity and hope I will get it. If I don't get it, too bad for me. When in hard core, I am just as respectful when I request nudity. The difference is, the host in hard core has ZERO right to say no, and she is being disrespectful to me when she fails to comply with rules she agreed to.

One final point to the stallers out there. You never know when a member such as myself that knows the rules very well will be visiting you so if you like working on CC, it is best to comply with them.

I await your responses, hosts, but remember, as I said, I am respectful to hosts so it is YOU who are in the wrong when you fail to comply by the rules. You don't want to strip, go to Glamour and LIttle Shy. I have no problem with that. It is the hard core hosts that jerk guys around that I and others have the problem with. And the original poster is right... I have spent A LOT less money on CC because of that type of nonsense. CC is good about giving credits back, but it is too annoying to keep writing them so I have taken a lot of my business elsewhere.

Not so shy, yes, but NOT if you're instant action. As others have posted below in some other thread, when the instant action host picks that category, she agrees to the following:

By signing into this category Chathosts commit to:
•Not sharing details such as age, name, country etc. unless initiated by the Viewer.
•No delaying tactics whatsoever. Chathosts MUST be prepared to immediately start their show as soon as a viewer enters

So UNLESS the VIEWER starts with someting other than hi, how r u, you need to strip RIGHT AWAY. Don't like it? Switch categories!!! But some hosts think that they can make more money in a certain category or just like it for whatever reason so they don't want to switch. Unfortunately, you have two choices: 1) switch categories and risk less money or 2) violate the rules and risk getting reported to CC.

The stuff beyond Hi, Hru? is for not so shy. It is there that you can do the name, age, country stuff. And then after a few minutes, it is time for the show if the viewer wants or you risk getting reported. But once again, the instant action host agreed not to do this unless the viewer starts it.

Save the "we are people. we don't like to be treated as objects" stuff. I respect you and treat you with respect. But treating me with respect means following the rules, and if you don't like the rules, you can go to another category. That is where my attitude comes from. All you have to do is switch categories, but for some reason, hosts won't do this and end up treating the viewer with disrespect. Well, with this viewer, it will come right back at you in the form of a not so nice email about you to CC.
